there is a desire to remove the lid and see everything goodbye and maybe even repair something?
To remove the cover, you need to unscrew 4 screws on it, with a branded head. A set purchased for 38 rubles in FixPrice helped me with this (Fig. 1)

In the next photo (Fig. 2), you can see, on the left, the power supply. It was in it that the reason for the failure of the apparatus was found - the capacitors swelled and failed. (circled in red). In Fig. 3, the swelling of the capacitors is clearly visible. In fact, of course, only one completely failed. But it is clear that the rest are already at their limit. So we will change everything.

For further control, an enlarged snapshot of the block was useful (Fig. 3). Since the capacitors are electrolytic, polarity must be observed when replacing them. In our case, the board has polarity markings.

When replacing capacitors, it is better to choose capacitors with the same capacity, but with a higher allowable voltage. Instead of 25V, I found 35V. The dimensions allow such a replacement, and the reliability will be higher!
So, the complete replacement of the capacitors cost 200 rubles.

Repairing a TV is not always associated with a long troubleshooting study of the circuits and flashing the controller. Sometimes it is enough to open the device and carefully examine the appearance of the parts.


The high reliability of electronic components sets the manufacturers the task of how to limit the service life of the manufactured equipment, so that after 7-12 years the device will calmly retire after a breakdown as outdated. The question is solved simply, for example, electrolytic capacitors sharply reduce their service life with prolonged heating. It is enough to place the condenser close to or next to the cooling radiator and the problem is solved. So, in principle, there was a question of lifespan in this Philips LCD TV. TV assembled on the LC4.1E chassis.

The TV got out as faulty and had to go for parts. When turned on, the TV often blinked green LED. The malfunction, in principle, indicated a problem with the power supply. So how to make repairs.

1. Place the TV on a flat surface. We unscrew the four mounting screws from the back of the TV. The slot of the screws is an asterisk. See photo.

2. Unscrew the two screws that secure the TV leg.

3. Lift the back cover. At the top right is the power supply board.

4. We carefully study the appearance of the capacitors. The knurled top covers must be flat. If there is swelling or even opening, then the part should be replaced.

5. We buy, select serviceable electrolytic capacitors. For this repair, capacitors were taken from the CRT monitor board. Capacitors can also be supplied in larger geometrical sizes - a headroom of 10-15 mm. Try to set analogs in terms of capacity, the operating voltage can be used at a higher one.And don't buy the cheapest capacitors, suspiciously labeled capacitors.

6. Unscrew the two screws securing the power supply board. Disconnect the right and top connectors. Parts have been accessed. We solder the capacitors and install new ones.

7. Putting the TV set. DO NOT FORGET to attach the connectors. We turn on the TV to the network. In principle, during the repair it was assumed that it would not work, then not the details: (. But the TV worked. The LED turned green and the screen lit up. Lucky!

An external examination of the board gave no results, all capacitors were not swollen, there were no burnt parts.

So something with the power supply, 90% with filter capacitors is a problem, my instinct did not let me down. There is an open circuit on the power capacitor of the 250V 47mkF line transformer, one of the legs rotted away. After replacing this capacitor, the TV started up without problems. No more problems, although the TV is old, it shows well, I'll put it in the kitchen.
