As expected, this is a defect in the LED backlight. But I have not found data on the organization of the construction of LEDs inside the matrix, their type, as well as their number inside the matrix. Again, the TV came in for repair with a diagnosis - the sound turns on, but there is no image, it reacts to the remote control. Measurement of the voltage at the output of the drivers showed the presence of a voltage of +72 Volts on each of the two channels. It became clear that the LEDs inside the matrix were out of order. The client refused to repair this TV, the TV was bought for experiments, alteration of LED backlighting, if possible. The autopsy of the matrix surprised me!

An elementary calculation shows that 72 V / 9 pcs. = 8 Volts per LED. This is a lot. This is where the very fast degradation of LEDs came about. As the former owner of the TV said, at first it gave a very bright image, and gradually, over a year and a half, it darkened. Measurement of all LEDs showed that they all burned out. I saw this for the first time. Usually, one or two set-diodes in a line fail, but here they are all at once. This speaks only of one thing, incorrect calculation of the driver for the LED backlight chain that is used in this matrix. Factory defect, one gets the impression that the TV was made in a "hurry" - from which it was assembled.

For the alteration, rulers with three volt LEDs were taken.

The corresponding calculation shows that 72 V / 3 V = 24 pcs. LEDs per channel, 8 LEDs in one line. Since there are two channels, there should be 48 LEDs.
