There is no need to carry out any modifications and adjustments of new parts. The BEHR thermostat is collapsible, and the Wahler "thermos" will have to be cut with a hacksaw in order to remove the thermocouple.

Alternatively, you can use a Daewoo Nexia, Renault Logan or Vernet 4898.92 part as a "donor", but the diameter of the thermoelement of the latter is slightly larger than required and requires adjustment. This replacement is not possible for Luzar models.

Another modification of the "thermos" on the VAZ-2190 is the device for the heating circuit of the throttle assembly. So some motorists insure themselves against freezing of the throttle valve. Everything works great! It heats up exactly to 92 degrees, then the thermostat opens completely, the temperature rises a little more to 93-94, then drops to 89-90. Then again in a circle. Fine! What you need! We checked the stove - hot air, everything was as it was before the replacement. This means there is no traffic jam. There are no leaks anywhere. Actually, he paid the money and left.

3. Checking the integrity of the elements of the engine cooling system.

press the retainer and undock the wiring block from the coolant temperature sensor;

loosen the clamp securing the rear hose to the thermostat cover branch pipe;

remove the hose from the branch pipe;

loosen the clamp securing the front hose on the thermostat cover branch pipe;

remove the front hose from the branch pipe;

unscrew the nut holding the ground wire on the thermostat fixing stud;

remove the washer and the tip of the “ground” wire from the stud;

unscrew the two nuts securing the thermostat to the engine, remove and place the washers;

pull off the thermostat housing from the studs;

The solution to the issue lies in replacing the thermostat (on a cold engine).

Let us also designate the second, so-called "popular" method of verification. Here, the thermostat must be immersed in a vessel with boiling water. Now, with curiosity, we observe the valve for its ability to open. If this happens, then the product is in good order, otherwise, we resort to replacement. This method provides for the mandatory preliminary removal of the "suspected" thermostat from the LADA Granta car.
