Hello everyone!

Briefly about my problem.

Ford Transit TDCi
125 / 260
2002

I bought it in 2013. Since this is the first diesel engine, I did not know what to look for. During the trip, I did not put much pressure on the gas, the revs were spinning up to a maximum of 3000-3500. I could barely crawl up the hill.

After a couple of months after the purchase, a headache began. While driving when overtaking, or uphill, that is, when traction is needed, the spiral lit up and the engine stood up. I had to start up again and barely trudge.

A year ago I visited a dealer for computer diagnostics.
We gave two errors related to the injection pump and injectors. They didn’t have to repair steel because they didn’t have the appropriate equipment. We recommended the office where he actually was. They found metal filings in the filter, the nozzles do not hold pressure and fuel is passed through the seal. They showed a price tag of 1,500 euros for the injection pump and 420 euros for the injectors.

Well, I still somehow drove until last weekend when the engine stupidly stood up. Without hesitation, I decided to save money and do the work myself.

Video (click to play).

Following the instructions from the book, I came across a couple of nuances and questions themselves.

1. How to reduce the pressure in the fuel system?
2. How to rotate the crankshaft to the position I need to remove the injection pump
3. What is this device with which you need to block the injection pump pulley

Hello everyone! Image - DIY repair of fuel pump ford connect

The guys from the English forum advised to buy a set of tools for fixing all kinds of engine elements, from the high-pressure fuel pump to the flywheel. What was done.

I turned the crankshaft pulley in the desired position with a screwdriver, put it between the two bolts and slowly turned it over.

I installed this pribluda, fixed the star of the injection pump, unscrewed four bolts, a nut and a washer for attaching the injection pump, as well as two bolts from the plate that holds the pump to the engine block, but still did not remove the injection pump Image - Repair of fuel pump ford connect with your own hands
Spent almost all day trying to get it off. With a screwdriver and a hammer, it came right up to the scrap))
It seemed to follow everything according to the book. the pump refuses to leave its seat. Did I miss something?
Need help!

Meanwhile, I cleaned the intake manifold and intake channels with a metal brush, a screwdriver and other chemicals, kerosene intercooler and also rinsed the fuel tank with a karcher.

Found that the turbine of the Khan or almost. The stud has a stroke since the oil should not have been in the intercooler and manifold.
In general, I tried to unscrew the four bolts on which the catalyst is screwed to the turbine and the fiasco. Broke the bolt. I don’t know how best to hack this turbine out and send it for repair. What is the best way to approach it to remove the entire engine or fool around in the engine compartment in an uncomfortable position? If someone came across this problem, please unsubscribe.
By the way, I read somewhere on the forum that by 150,000 km it is necessary to change the turbine and nozzles, such as consumables.

A little video on the topic of injectors and injection pumps.
