In detail: do-it-yourself Thomas Twin TT repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
For renovation ON buttons of the THOMAS TWIN tt vacuum cleaner we do a few simple operations:
1. Unscrew 6 screws from the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. The 2 screws are hidden under the filter cover on the back of the vacuum cleaner.
2. Remove the case. The wires do not need to be disconnected. If you still decide to disconnect the wires, mark which one goes where.
3. Unscrew the self-tapping screw that holds the board under the on / off button on one side. On the second side of the board, remove the metal clip located on the flat plastic pin by simply prying it with a flat screwdriver with a little effort.
4. On the board we find the button on which the vacuum cleaner toggle switch presses.
5. With a cotton swab dipped in alcohol (you can use cotton swabs), abundantly moisten the space around the movable black button and press it ten to twenty times.
6. After that we screw everything back.
7. When reassembling, make sure that the rubber gaskets that grip the pump on both sides do not move or fall.
It is a little inconvenient to combine the “tape measure” (the disk on which the wire is wound) and the grooves in the upper part of the case. Just take your time and everything will work out.
Repairing the ON button of the THOMAS TWIN tt vacuum cleaner is the simplest breakdown. In more difficult cases, you will be helped by the specialists of ELECTROSAN sot.t. 22-44-28
After five years of operation, the vacuum cleaner began to howl harshly during operation. The sound is clear, the bush hummed. Waiting for it to crumble and smoke was somehow not a hunt. I decided to take a closer look at the patient. The price of the new engine on the servicemen's website was not pleasing, almost a third of the cost of the vacuum cleaner. Doesn't seduce against penny bearings.
Video (click to play).
A study of the resources showed that there are disassembly instructions, but only text. Filmed the disassembly process itself. No particularly difficult moments have been identified.
So let's get started. We unscrew the two screws and remove the top cover, so that it does not interfere
Next, turn the vacuum cleaner over and unscrew the 6 screws on the bottom cover. Two of them are located under the air intake filter cover.
We turn over and halve the case, there are no latches and latches, you just need to shake it and it will turn out
We unscrew 4 large screws and one small one on the cover that covers the engine. We take out the wires from the mounts and slide the cover along the wires
The engine is simply removed from the housing.
Next, we follow the instructions found on the Internet.
Disassembled according to this instruction for Thomas Twin TT with my comments
1. Remove the motor from the black casing - flow divider by unscrewing 4 screws and removing the power supply terminals from the motor (write down where they were). The terminals are pulled together by light rocking.
2. Turn the engine upside down (galvanized part down). 3. Carefully pull off (as if contouring) the black plastic casing-pipe, pulling, one by one, the latches. You need to shoot carefully, I broke a nail, for example. I overdid it a bit.
4. Remove the clamps from the brushes by bending the clips on the terminals with a screwdriver. 5. Remove the brushes by bending the bronze clips to the brush body. My brushes were just pressed with springs. I squeezed them out with my finger and just pulled the brushes out of the top cover.
6. Put a socket wrench on the nut, from the side of the turbine, unscrew the fan impeller by hand, throwing a rag over it, if there is no special wrench. Left-hand thread, i.e. unscrew clockwise. There is an aluminum washer under the impeller, do not lose. I didn't have the puck, so I couldn't lose it. The impeller took off without problems
7. Remove the white plastic bearing holder (although, brushes too) by unscrewing the 2 screws in the grooves. There is a spring washer on the bearing, remember its position. The lid was not on screws but on a nut, although it was not important. The position of the spring washer is easily identified by the grooves in the rubber bearing cap. In my opinion, it is better to install the washer back with support on the unworked places.
and here is the washer and nuts
8. Remove the stator. 9. Unscrew the aluminum nut from the turbine side (right-hand thread). Try to do this by holding the rotor in your hand. In my case, I had to grip the rotor in a vice, since the thread was rusted. Plugging the thread for 2 days with a mixture of oil and kerosene did not help.
10. Place the product in its original position. There is a retainer under the rotor, above the bearing, we remove it gradually, moving each petal upward a little, in a circle, until the retainer washer comes out completely. Remove the rotor. Remember the location of the parts in the bearing assembly.
11. Disassemble the turbine, if required. - Bend the latches around the circumference. Next, you need 4 hands. With both hands, hold the turbine in suspension by the plastic part, and with it to the top, gradually knock the galvanized cup down with an aluminum pin in a circle, lightly hitting it with a hammer.
Interestingly, the top bearing turned out to be 607-z, although all sources write that 608-z.

The power button also stopped working, alcohol helped, but not for long, for about a month, bought a button that was on the board for $ 1, and asked a friend to replace it, we have a button size of 12x12x7 (height), but I bought 12x12x5, I had to lengthen it above.
I disassembled the old button, and in principle there is nothing difficult there, you could just disassemble it and clean up the contacts. Photo below

What to do if your thomas tt vacuum cleaner stops turning on? In this article I will tell you how to repair your Thomas vacuum cleaner yourself, namely, repair the power button at home.
For a thomas tt vacuum cleaner of this model, the main reason why it does not start is the power button, which is located on the control board. Such a repair is not particularly difficult, and then I will tell and show you how to make this repair with your own hands.
For repairs you will need: a Phillips screwdriver, a soldering iron and consumables for soldering.
We plug the soldering iron into the network while it heats up, take a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew 6 screws that are at the bottom of the thomas vacuum cleaner, 2 of them are under the filter cover.
Next, we need to remove the top of the Thomas Twin tt case.
The control board with which we will carry out repair work is circled in red. The board is attached with 2 screws that we need to unscrew.
Important! There are 3 wires connected to the control board. When you disconnect them from the board, remember how they were connected, or better with a marker, sign where which wire was connected, because if you connect it incorrectly, when you turn it on, the semiconductor will immediately burn out, which regulates the power of the thomas vacuum cleaner. Take a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the bolts and remove the control board.
The Thomas vacuum cleaner start button is soldered on the back of the control board, we need to replace it with a new working one.
You can buy a similar button in any radio store, as it will not be difficult for you to find it. We take a preheated soldering iron and solder the old button in order to replace it with a new working one.
After we have replaced the button on the control board, it can be replaced. We connect the wires to it and assemble the Thomas Twin tt vacuum cleaner back.
We connect all the terminals, assembled the vacuum cleaner and turn it on. Our twin tt vacuum cleaner started up the first time, which means that this repair of the thomas twin tt vacuum cleaner was successful, and again you can continue to use your house assistant. As you can see from this material, repairing a Thomas vacuum cleaner with your own hands, namely, repairing the power button, is not difficult, and you can make repairs yourself at home.
Three years ago I bought a Thomas Twin T2 Aquafilter vacuum cleaner. Today the pump stopped working, disassembled, looked, assembled - it does not work. Unfortunately, there were no clamps. to remove it and check it separately. But one of these days I will buy and check.
There are such a small number of pictures. To remember what is happening.
In espresso makers, similar pumps are installed, except that there may be more power. But to find a killed coffee maker, I think, is not a problem.
Yes, they are many where similar, but there was a question with an outlet thread, and I could not find an answer to it. It took a month to find when it was necessary. As a result, bought from Thomas, the price is fun. And I'll play with the old one. And there will probably be a video of how to fix it. For for.

A little later - a true story. First, the question - who has this device: - with what force do you spray water from the nozzle onto the carpet? The fact is that my new unit sprays a little harder than a manual flower sprayer. Therefore, it is interesting - where are the promised 4 bars.? Or is it at the outlet of the pump 4, and is "lost" on the way? Or is it a malfunction - and “hello service”.
