Make sure your new blade is exactly at right angles to the machine table. Using a checked square, place it with a block on the saw table and move the ruler to the plane of the disc without touching the teeth (photo at the beginning). The machine manual explains how to adjust the stops. Perform these operations, ensuring that there is not even the slightest gap between the square and the disc. Then set the pointer to zero division of the tilt scale. Repeat this procedure to fine tune the 45 ° tilt (Photo A).

After completing these adjustments, proceed with adjusting the rotation angles. First of all, set the disc at a 90 ° angle to the stop (photo B). The procedure for this operation depends on the type of stop installed on your machine.

If the stop consists of one piece (photo C), loosen the adjusting bolts, or screws on both sides, and slightly move the right or left end of the stop closer to the disc. In this case, it is enough to move only one end, since the other will automatically turn.

The strap clamp allows you to easily tighten all four corners of the frame. Don't you have one yet? Secure the parts in the corners with masking tape.

If the machine stop has a right and a left, then aligning each of them at right angles to the disc may result in them not being aligned with each other. The correct adjustment method is that only one part of the stop is set perpendicular to the disc, and this position is fixed by tightening the screws or bolts. Then the second part of the stop is aligned with the first (photo D). Finally, the scale pointer is set to 0 °. On some saw models, the stops are not adjustable (photo E), so it is necessary to install the blade and the saw unit at right angles to the stop. To do this, first set the rotation scale indicator to 0 °, and then loosen the screws securing the scale. Turning the table (and with it the scale), achieve the perpendicularity of the disc and the stop. Then tighten the screws to secure the settings. It is not necessary to adjust other angular values.

The surest way to test the accuracy of a miter saw is to make 45 ° bevels at each end of four pieces of the same section and length, and then dry the square frame by tightening the corners with a strap clamp. A loose joint at any of the corners means you need to check each setup step again and re-adjust the machine if necessary. Remember, mustache connections are attention-grabbing. D. Adjustment of the split stop. First, adjust and fix the left side of the stop. Then press the long rule-ruler against it, laying it flat on the saw table, and align the right side of the stop with it.

E. Adjustment of the fixed stop. Loosen all screws securing the rotation scale and position the saw blade perpendicular to the stop.
