Remove the cover and boot from the transfer case levers, lock sensor connectors. Remove the rocker cover and the transmission shift lever. Engage reverse gear and pull the locking sleeve out of the lower end of the lever.
Mark the flanges of cardan shafts, transfer cases and RPM in order to set them in the correct position during assembly.
Remove the front propeller shaft and slinger washer. Holding the bolts with a 19 wrench, unscrew the elastic coupling retaining nuts from the gearbox output shaft flange.
Unscrew the nuts securing the transfer case pillows to the end of the studs, remove the transfer case.
Remove the cotter pin and spring, unscrew the clutch cylinder bolts and starter mountings. To do this, you need an extension cord. Move the starter to the radiator. Disconnect the reversing light sensor wires, unscrew the muffler clamp bolt, box casing bolts and traverse nuts.
Remove bolts securing gearbox to engine. When disconnecting the box, make sure that it does not hang on the input shaft - this is fraught with breakage of the clutch disc and the spring ring of the shaft bearing. Rock the checkpoint up and down, gradually moving back until it stops. Lower the clutch housing, pull the rocker out of the hole.
