But here we see a pantry, after stripping the wallpaper and breaking the shelves. The shelves were ugly. Of course ... - it was all done 20 years ago.

From the very beginning of the repair, what you need to think about at all is to replace the wiring! Change the wiring, then it won't work! If you also have an age house, then you definitely need to think about it!

Unfortunately, I didn't! And he paid! In the closet, at the moment of connecting to an aluminum wire, it is natural that the wire simply broke!

You can see the hanging wire. This is already a copper, stranded wire, which we connect only with a bolted connection to aluminum!

On the left bolt connection, I connected a switch and a washing machine. For the washing machine, I did not make a separate wire!

The power of the machine is only 0.17 kW / h.

After being punched (made a groove for the wire). We stretch the wires. We putty.

Next, we will make the shelves! Let's take 140 cm in height, 80 cm in width. The shelves will not be in the closet from floor to ceiling, because we will also have a washing machine! Divide 180 cm into 3 equal parts.

I don't need to buy chipboard, because my balcony is full of pieces from an old wardrobe. We nail the left and right vertical parts of our shelves firmly to the wall!

We take chipboard, support it from below to the limit so that it rests against the ceiling. If required, then level it.

We drill through with a perforator, in 4 places, remove the chamfer so that the dowel head is not visible! I used dowels 6 by 80. We putty the chamfer.

And we also putty chipboard, where required. I used an old bath grout as a filler for the chipboard.

After some thought, I decided that I could put a shelf above the door. Putting one of the shelf parts right on the jamb! We attach the corners on top of the shelf, and we already nail the corners to the wall.

The corners are made from above so that it is not visible from the entrance!

Then we skin everything, then we vacuum EVERYTHING! Next, we process it with a primer.

I have some remnants of old glue, it does this job perfectly for the walls. And for chipboard - wipe with a damp cloth until the dust is completely removed.

I didn't do anything with the floor! I decided that I can put linoleum, and stop there!

After that, paint the shelves and glue the wallpaper!

We look at the shelves in the pantry. We lay linoleum.

The door had to be pulled out, at least 30 cm, on the right side and about 20 cm on the left.

We align with putty the left gap between the door to the pantry and the door to the toilet.

Now the door to the pantry does not open on its own, but stops in the position in which we left the door.

I bought linoleum from leftovers.

I don't remember the price of linoleum, approximately. RUB 300

Used 2 rolls of wallpaper, costing 300 rubles / roll.

Used glue 1/2 of a pack 200/2 = 100 rubles.

Socket, switch, 2 socket boxes - 400 rubles.

Ceiling coverings -200 rubles.

Total spent on materials for the pantry: less than 2,000 rubles!

The pantry is ready to use!

First of all, you need to free the storage room from old things, up to various shelves, hooks and temporary nails, which, as a rule, are quickly installed. A fairly spacious room opens up in front of us for a dressing room about spaciousness, which we did not even suspect. For a competent arrangement of the pantry at the initial stage, it is necessary to bring the floor, walls and ceiling to an acceptable condition and replace the door. Moreover, the repair of the floor in the pantry should be carried out last. For him, a self-leveling floor is often used with further laying of carpet.

Regardless of what materials you decide to use when renovating the floor in the pantry, you must adhere to a single goal - to make the dressing room dry and light. To maintain a favorable microclimate, ventilation holes are mounted in the clothing. It doesn't matter what will be stored in the pantry - clothes or vegetables, lack of ventilation, high humidity will eventually destroy all its contents. In such a room, a favorable microclimate will be created for the appearance of fungus and colonies of bacteria that will ruin walls, furniture and things. In addition to ventilation, thoughtful lighting is essential in the closet.

Small storage facilities are well-stocked; finding the right thing in them is more difficult than in a spacious room. Luminaires should be positioned so that all drawers and shelves fall within the lighting area.

The simplest ventilation option is ventilation with a window, removal of stagnant air masses due to natural draft. Air circulation takes place as follows: fresh streams will enter when the windows are opened for ventilation or through micro slots in the frame (for plastic bags, a window ventilator is needed). The exhaust air will move through the apartment towards the hood. This room should not be sealed in order to ensure the unimpeded movement of air masses.

If there is no window, then when equipping the pantry, it is necessary to create an exhaust channel. Air intake will take place through the valves on the wall, and removal - through the hood in one of the rooms. An overflow valve can be installed to remove waste air masses on the opposite wall from the incoming flows. To install the valves, the pantry must have a wall adjacent to the street.

Sometimes the pantry is located in a place where it is impossible to organize the natural movement of air, and the smell and fungus begin to annoy. In this case it is necessary to equip the room with forced ventilation. If at the stage of building a house it was not laid down, it should be organized by ourselves. To do this, a wall breaks through to the side of the street, a piece of plastic pipe is mounted, inside which a fan of the required power is installed. From the street, the hole is covered with a decorative lattice.

For the outflow of exhaust air, it is possible to conduct an exhaust duct from the general ventilation system of the house into the pantry and install a fan at its opening. And for the inflow of air masses, arrange wall valves.

It is ineffective to illuminate a pantry without windows with one central chandelier: the shadow from the shelves will not make it possible to fully use the storage system. In this case, zoning of small areas will solve the problem. The easiest option is to equip the bottom of the shelves or the wall with LED strips.... Installation is not difficult, but the benefits are tangible: cold white light will help you to see every little thing, you don't even need to take out the boxes from the closet.

If the pantry serves as a laundry, workshop or office, you cannot do without an overhead light. Only bright lighting will help to turn on the washing machine, sort the laundry, use the workbench in the workshop or the work table in the office. The LED solution also works as a central lighting. The efficiency and durability of LED lamps speaks in its favor.

In addition, LEDs do not generate heat and will not cause a fire, even if you forget to turn them off. In a cramped, stocked space, they can burn for hours.

An economical solution would be to place a single height-adjustable lamp in the closet. The lighting can be mechanically directed to the required shelves. If you do not have the time and desire to engage in the installation of fixtures and wiring, you can use wireless bulbs.

LED lights consume little energy. Given the variable need for closet lighting, these lamps will last a long time. Any of the suggested options are practical, economical and viable.

The only pantry in the house involves the storage of diverse things, of course, not in the radical sense of the word, no one will store products with household chemicals, but it is quite possible to place a vacuum cleaner in a room with conservation or put an ironing board in a workshop.

Everyone has thought more than once how to make a pantry with their own hands. But ignorance and fear of difficulties made me leave everything as it is. But it’s very simple and, most importantly, economical! Let's note the options for stylish and beautiful closets, which are made to order and for a lot of money. Even a girl can make a simple and convenient pantry!

Of course, you will need a ready-made room. In multi-storey buildings, a small closet is often already provided and is located next to the entrance doors. If this is a private house, you need to think about how much of it will have to be donated for storage space.

If the aesthetics of the room is an important factor, you need to start with the wall decoration. The old finish is removed. You do not need to clean the walls and ceiling to the base, but you will have to get rid of poorly adhered plaster.

A primer is applied, a new layer of plaster is applied, the walls are painted or wallpaper is glued. Important: each layer is applied only after the previous one has completely dried. The floor covering you like is laid - it can be tiles, linoleum or laminate. It is better to refuse the carpet - it is inconvenient to clean. Lushe throw a small rug on the floor.

Now you can start organizing the storage space. For small rooms with an area of about a square meter, modular storage systems are perfect. They are sold in any building hypermarket, and universal rails allow you to hang baskets and shelves of any size.

Their installation is extremely simple, often such racks are supplied with assembly instructions. It is necessary to fasten the supporting rails and guides with self-tapping screws, dowel-nails or dowel-anchors, depending on the material of the walls. (6)

If you want to do everything yourself, and there are extra boards and beams lying around in the garage, you can make guides for the shelves yourself. To do this, beams are attached to pre-marked places on opposite walls of the pantry - these will be the guides.

It is better to provide different heights of the shelves - for large and small items. Boards are placed on top of the bars, which will serve as shelves.

If the shelf is more than a meter long, it is better to nail another block to the back wall so that the board does not bend. The elements are connected with self-tapping screws.

But if you choose ready-made free-standing racks, then this "constructor" will just need to be assembled. And you don't have to look for a hammer drill to drill multiple holes in extremely sturdy concrete walls!

There is no separate storage room, but do you need to store things somewhere? So why not make the most of all the space in your home? After all, the place under the stairs is so provocatively empty! Certain carpentry skills (or a good furniture workshop) will of course be required.

First, the lining of the space under the stairs, if any, is removed. A fine finish is being done, because you do not want to constantly sweep spiders from cans with conservation. After that, the dimensions of the internal space are measured and plotted on the diagram. Here you need to be extremely careful - a small error in the calculations, and some of the elements will not fit. A drawing of the future pantry is definitely being developed - it will not be possible to build "by eye".

If you are planning just racks with swing doors, the frame is first fixed along the outer edge. After that, vertical racks are mounted, to which the shelves will be attached. The doors will be hung on the same racks. Shelf rails are nailed to the rear wall and uprights and the shelves themselves are installed. Doors can be cut independently from furniture board or ordered ready-made. In principle, you can order the entire set according to the required dimensions and simply assemble everything at home.

In order not to bother with hinged doors and a frame, it is much easier to make drawers on wheels.

First, the dimensions of the external decorative panels are marked, and then the boxes are already assembled so that their size is slightly smaller in width. The wheels are attached to the drawers and only then the decorative panel is screwed onto the self-tapping screws from the inside.

Literally any corner can be selected for the pantry, separating part of the room with a drywall wall.

For this, the space is first marked out, the location of the future door to the pantry is noted. The size of the doorway is calculated taking into account the door leaf and frame. After that, the frame is assembled from a metal profile.

First, guides are attached to the ceiling and floor, and racks are already attached to them. It is important to check all the racks in level so that there are no distortions. The distance between the profile posts should be selected so that the drywall sheet is attached to three posts - two at the edges and one in the middle. So, the size of a standard sheet is 250x120 cm, so the distance between the posts should be 60 cm.

Plasterboard sheets are positioned so that the joint is exactly in the middle of the rack.

First, one side of the frame is sheathed, insulation is laid and then the frame is completely sewn up with drywall. Insulation is needed for sound insulation, but if the pantry is used infrequently, you can save on it. It is necessary to carry out lighting in advance and make an additional outlet in the pantry - it will not be superfluous.

Also, do not forget about forced ventilation - a constantly closed door to the closet will make the air stale. It will be enough to make two holes at different heights into the street, spreading them to the corners. They are closed with supply and exhaust air diffusers.
