The fuel mixture ceases to be supplied to the combustion chamber when the coolant temperature approaches 85 degrees and Webasta turns off.
2. At low temperatures, its uninterrupted operation is extremely important for facilitating the start of a diesel internal combustion engine and maintaining its required temperature regime. It should be remembered that 75% of the ICE wear occurs during cold starts, therefore, preheating the diesel ICE cooling system not only makes it easier to start the ICE, but also increases its resource. 1. To start the heater, the coolant temperature should not be higher than 40 ° С, and the outside air temperature should not be higher than 4-8 ° С. If it is warmer outside or the car has not yet cooled down, Webasta will not start.
2. The peculiarity of Webasta is that when the level of diesel fuel in the tank is low (less than a quarter), the system blocks the operation of the stove (that's an infection). 1. To turn on the heater - press and hold the ON button on the remote control for about 2 seconds. The green indicator will light up and go out, which means Webasta has turned on and the signal has passed. Warming up will work for 30 minutes or until the coolant temperature reaches 75 C, or if the fuel level falls below the minimum or the battery is discharged.
2. If Webasta failed to start, the indicator will blink 3 times and turn off.
3. To turn off Webasta yourself, press and hold the OFF button for 2 seconds. The red indicator will light up for about 2 seconds, Webasta will turn off. Everything is extremely simple ON (hold) turn on, OFF (hold) turn off ...

What happens when the Webasto heater is started? The coolant is heated in order to warm up the engine faster and get a more comfortable temperature in the cabin.
The second operating mode of the Webasto heater is prestarting. This means that by pressing the remote control, the boiler can be started without leaving home, that is, start Webasto well in advance of starting the engine.

You need to understand that if the engine is still a little warm, then the heater may not start.
Another important point is the serviceability of the battery, which is especially important on vehicles that are equipped with a battery charge monitoring system (BMC). If the system considers that the battery is undercharged, then the heater may not start.
If the remaining fuel in the tank is less than 8 liters, the system can write a fault code to the auxiliary heater, and the heater will be blocked. To unlock it, you will need to connect to the diagnostic computer and delete the fault codes.
To prevent this from happening, try to keep the fuel level above a quarter of the tank during winter. The fuel level error code blocks the operation of Webasto in all modes. Even after filling the fuel tank, Webasto will not work.
To start the Webasto boiler from the remote control, you need to hold down the "ON" button on the remote control for 1 second. The LED will light up green for 2 seconds and then start blinking green about once every 3 seconds. This means that the boiler should have been started, but this does not mean that it is working.
To turn off the heater, it is enough to disarm the vehicle. The heater will turn off automatically. Or just press the "OFF" button for 2 seconds. The LED will turn red for 2 seconds and turn off.
After starting the engine, Webasto does not obey the control of the remote control. The priority for the Webasto boiler control is transferred to the vehicle systems, the heater will be controlled by the climate control unit.

The LED on the keypad has a number of diagnostic functions.
If the LED flashes green, it means that the signal has been transmitted to the car and further this connection is maintained.

If the LED flashes orange, it means that the battery in the remote control is low and will soon fail. The battery needs to be replaced.

If you press the "ON" button and the green LED starts blinking quickly, it means that the signal has not reached the car. In this case, either the distance is too long and the signal simply did not reach, or if you are near the car and see such a thing, most likely the key fob is not registered (“got rid of the car”).
The key fob can be untied when replacing the battery or when removing the terminals. After replacing the battery, it is imperative to check whether the key fob is working, if not, then tie it.
The easiest option is to remove the battery terminal (any "+" or "-") for 5 seconds. Then put it on and press the "OFF" button on the remote control within 5 seconds. The red LED will flash for 2-3 seconds, then turn off. This means that the remote is attached.
If the red LED blinks quickly, it means that the signal has not passed, and there is some problem.
If you are reluctant to remove the terminal, there is another way. You can remove the fuse that powers the receiver. It is located in the luggage compartment fuse box. To be honest, it is not very convenient to get there.
The last option offered by the manufacturer is to remove the connector from the receiver. It is also located in the trunk under the trim on the left side. Getting there is also not very pleasant.
Therefore, the most convenient is the battery terminal.
The Webasto boiler is located behind the front right fender of the vehicle. If you go lower, then in the area of the front right wheel is the exhaust pipe of the Webasto boiler. From there you can observe smoke when starting the boiler.
The Webasto boiler has a muffler, which is designed to reduce the noise during the operation of the boiler. The boiler has an air inlet pipe.Please note that both the air intake pipe and the exhaust pipe must not be clogged with dirt, ice or anything else. These pipes need to be monitored.
A fuel priming pump is located in the area of the fuel tank. It is separate for this system and has nothing to do with the engine power supply system. This is normal pump operation! Both in the preheating mode and in the auxiliary heater mode.
