In detail: do-it-yourself knitted socks repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
The beginning of knitting The process of patching holes on socks for right-handers is described, left-handers repeat in a mirror image. The movement of knitting in a circle from right to left.
We put the sock on the ball with the front side and stretch the hole well. We fold the end of the new thread so that we get a loop and a small tail of two or three centimeters. Hold the thread in your left hand with your thumb and forefinger.
Further, when knitting, we place the thread so that it passes in front (towards the hook) over the raised index finger and is captured from behind (towards the skein) with all other fingers.
With the right hand we take the hook like a writing pen, turning the curved tip down and slightly to the left.
Columns without crochet We pierce with a crochet from the front side under the hole in the toe in the place where the loops are still strong. We grab the loop of the new thread with the tip of the hook and carefully pull it out about twice as long as the usual sock loop. We make sure that the tail of the thread does not come out on the front side.
Without pulling the hook out of the loop, grab the thread again with the crochet and pull the second through the first loop. Reduce the lower loop by pulling the tail of the thread sticking out from the inside out. The hook has one loop.
Again we crochet the sock near the hole, already slightly to the left, approximately at the distance of the neighboring knitting loop, grab the thread from the left hand and pull the loop towards ourselves. The hook has two loops. Again we hook the thread and pull it through both loops. One loop remains on the hook. Repeat the process until we knit the whole hole in a circle.
If the knitted socks are worn out on the heels, this is not a reason to throw them away. Maybe they are still fit for recovery. Any needlewoman who knows how to hold knitting needles in her hands (and even more so that who knows how to knit socks) can fix the heel at the toe.
I have prepared a photo instruction how bandage the heel... In this particular case, the gap was on that part of the heel that has not yet passed into the lower part of the toe (the one that is knitted on 4 needles).
Video (click to play).
This is what the heel was at the beginning of work, before "resuscitation". The sock itself is still quite strong, it's a pity to throw it away or dissolve it (all the more, I really like the jacquard pattern with which it was tied).
We spread the side and back parts. We collect the loops, distribute them on two knitting needles.
We knit several rows (depending on how much you dismissed) to the level at which you need to form the heel.
We do heel subtraction, as with normal knitting of a sock... That is, we divide all the loops into 3 parts (for example, 9 + 10 + 9). We knit 9 + 9 loops in the front row, then we remove 1 as the front one, we knit the first loop from the 3rd part as the front one, and we stretch it through the removed one.
Turn knitting over. Remove the 1st loop, knit 8 from the central part, then knit two together with the purl. That is, in each row, there is a decrease from one side or the other. I have described schematically. I think that all needlewomen know how to "close" the heel.
When the heel is closed, you need to carefully sew (or tie) the heel loops and the toe loops.
The result is that a sock is indistinguishable from a new one. Throwing on the heel is a fairly simple operation. And it saves you time and materials. So if you need to fix a knitted sock now, you know how.

Wardrobe Master class Crochet If throw away it's a pity but you know how to crochet Repair of socks MK Threads Socks
Good day, dear residents! I sat down here to fix socks, but my head is restless - I’m already used to sharing my creations with you. They taught us this technique at school, in labor lessons. Nowadays, it's easier to throw out your torn socks and buy new ones (which I always do). But sometimes I want to and protested))) So. If your socks are torn, it's a pity to throw it away, but you have a hook, a skein of thread and more or less crooked handles at hand, you can do the following:
cut off the edges of our hole-wipe. (This is necessary so that the hook does not catch too thin areas of the fabric and a new hole does not form)
We turn our disabled sock inside out. And we begin to tie the edges, introducing the hook at a distance of 5mm from the edge.
Next, I knit arbitrarily - by eye, knitting two loops into one and completely closing our hole))) Here's what happened)
There are no legs for posing - everyone is asleep, so here's a hare)
Warm, cozy woolen socks often save us in the cold season. But here's the bad luck: with such products, the heel quickly wears out over time. Unfortunately, this is the most vulnerable spot of the socks. To make woolen things last a long time, use additional nylon thread when making them. This, even if not for long, will prolong their life. But what if the socks are almost new and the heel is torn? Do not despair and throw things away. Today we will tell you how to fix a heel on a knitted sock and give things a second life.
Any needlewoman who knows how to hold knitting needles can fix a heel in a woolen sock. It's quite simple, you just need to dissolve the torn part and tie a new heel with yarn from which the sock is made or any other to match the product. With a good dexterity, this process will not take long.
To work you will need:
5 knitting needles or circular needles.
Yarn matching color and quality.
Dissolve your heel. For this:
Cast on the side loops with a knitting needle. This must be done from two sides. If you have circular knitting needles, use them.
Use scissors to cut one thread and carefully pull it out of the row.
Pull the string and open the heel counter. The loops will remain on the knitting rods.
Gather the stitches with the next knitting needle on the back of the sock.
Divide them evenly over the four rods.
Work the first two rows on five knitting needles without subtraction. And so that there is no hole left between the sides, knit a twisted loop in this place.
Redistribute the loops so that there are, for example, 6 on the side rods, and 20 on the rest.
On knitting needles with a lot of loops, knit 2 pieces together. On the side knitting needles, do not add or subtract anything. Walk in a circle in this way.
Important! As a result, a new backdrop should be formed on both sides: 1 loop should remain on the horizontal rods, and 6 each on the side ones.
Work the next row round and round, decreasing the last stitch on each side of the horizontal knitting rods. There should be 6 stitches on 2 needles.
Work half the row more on one needle.
Use a knit stitch to join all remaining eyelets. You need to do it like this: remove one from the core, thread a needle with a knitted thread into it. Remove the loop from the second knitting needle, also thread the needle and thread through it.
Connect adjacent loops on each side in pairs, finishing the seam.
The back is ready, the sock is like new!
Important! Fewer stitches can be left on the side knitting needles to keep the heel snug.
This method is also suitable for those who have an idea of how to handle different knitting tools. The technology does not have any particular difficulties, but it is imperative to be careful and attentive when working in order to fix a heel on a woolen toe.
You can easily fix warm and soft socks if you follow these instructions:
Dissolve the lateral and back of the heel.
Assemble the loops for 2 knitting rods.
Cast on several rows up to the level at which you want to form the backdrop.
Divide the loops into 3 parts, for example, 9 + 10 + 9.
Cast on 9 + 9 stitches in the front row.
Remove 1 stitch for the front stitch and knit the first 3-part stitch for the front stitch.
Pull the removed loop through the knitted loop.
Turn knit over and remove 1 loop.
Sew 8 stitches from center and 2 to purl. On each row, a decrease should occur, then on one side, then on the other.
After the heel is closed, carefully sew the heel loops with the toe loops.

If the toe on the heel has just worn out, and there is no hole yet, then it must be darned right away. Darning will prevent the rip from occurring for a while. And using our advice, you will rarely have to buy new things, because you can already deftly and quickly restore their integrity in a matter of minutes:
Insert something round, such as a Christmas tree ball, from the wrong side of the product.
Using a large long needle and a matching tricot thread, gather the loops on the needle and stitch in parallel, first to one side, then to the other.
Then cross-stitch the original longitudinal stitches.
The tip of the needle should go neatly up and down so that the threads are intertwined.
Next, go diagonally with small stitches and then another diagonal.
