It's about the first generation Duster crossover. Unlike Logan sedans, the bumper does not contain electrical equipment on the crossover. The only exception can be parking sensors, which must be turned off after dismantling. The following is a diagram showing the assembly of the assembly. Before removing the rear bumper for Renault Duster, study this diagram. And then read exactly how the dismantling is done, and what you need to unscrew before removing the bumper.

Video (click to play).

See how the door was straightened without removing anything superfluous. The bumper remained in place - an example in the video.

The bumper itself is part 1. It is supplemented with an overlay 7. When dismantling, remove the bumper with a lining.

The number of fasteners is 14

Absorber 5 is another integral part. The entire assembly is supported by brackets labeled 3 and 2.

The number of screws fixing the bumper is eight: 4 on top (part 12) and 4 on the bottom (part 13). Do not forget about the other screw fasteners that will need to be loosened - we are talking about part 9. Screws 9 press the lining to the body (see photo).

You will need a Torx key with T20 and T30 bits. First, the mud flaps are removed - they are attached with self-tapping screws, as well as on one plastic piston.

Snap off the piston with a flat screwdriver. And when the mudguard is removed, you can unscrew the screw on the wheel arch liner. It holds the bumper (item 13).

Do not forget that a similar self-tapping screw (13) is located at the bottom of the bumper. In the second step, unscrew the screws in the trunk, and also loosen the screws from the bottom.

Loosen the screws, unscrew the screws

The last two steps are illustrated in our photo.

The T30 bit fits under the screw caps. And T20 is for self-tapping screws.

On the Renault Duster crossover, removing the rear bumper includes the following steps:

  1. It is necessary to unscrew the fasteners (12 and 13), loosen the screw clamps (part 9);
  2. From brackets 2 and 3, the bumper plastic is taken to the side. The main thing is not to break the tabs of the latches.

You need to start removing the bumper from the latches from the side of the wheel. The photo shows the result.

Two final steps (dismantling completed)

When the bumper is not supported by anything, it is simply pulled "towards itself". It is better to carry out this operation together.

One part is often designated with two or three SKUs. But in this case, one detail is represented under each designation. Renault has a dozen articles for the "rear bumper", but the bumpers are different, and they are suitable for different configurations:

  • 850229613R or 850225291R - equipment level E0;
  • 850220171R or 850226280R - E1;
  • 850223833R or 850226602R - E2, 2WD, no radar;
  • 850229219R - E2, 4WD, under the radar;
  • 850229118R - E2 or E1;
  • 850227892R - E2, 4WD, no radar;
  • 850228583R - E2, 2WD, under the radar;
  • 850226573R - E3.

Everything looks simpler with a plastic overlay:

  • 850700752R - E3;
  • 850701407R - all levels below E3.

Other articles do not depend on the level:

  • 622218831R or 622214225R - bracket on the left side;
  • 622207015R or 622200145R - the same, right side;
  • 850903196R or 850901036R or 850900009R - absorber.

For each part listed above, there is a substitute analogue:

  • Cover (E3) - SAT ST-RND1-087-A0;
  • Cover (below E3) - PULO P2-DA-DUS1BS; DIEDERICHS 4560058; BLIC 5511-00-1305970P; SCHLIECKMANN 779608; VAN WEZEL 1555509;
  • Absorber - SAT ST-RND1-087R-0;
  • Bracket (port side) - NPA NP513-07233; SAT ST-RND1-087B-2;
  • The same (starboard side) - NPA NP513-07234; SAT ST-RND1-087B-1.

The proprietary analogue that we managed to find for the bumper is the ST-RND1-087-0 part (SAT brand). It was about the E3 level.
