Today I changed my shoes on my Stream RN1 and found that the front vertical bushings on the front suspension arms were torn. In the repair, I am more of a kettle than an expert. In addition to ammotisers, candles, oil and filters in the car, he himself did not change anything. At the service station they say that you need to remove the lever to knock out or squeeze them out, for one price tag there will be 1200r. I think I will do this operation on my own, I will be very grateful if you share information, then I will give an action plan, again I will be grateful for the amendments. Found pictures of the suspension in the internet (below), the plan of action is as follows: Unscrew the silent block bolt where it is attached to the body; Remove the bolt securing the stabilizer to the lever; Disconnect the ball joint with the lever from the hub! Here I do not know how to do it? How is the ball removed? After that, the lever is in our hands, we knock out, or we remove the silent block with a special tool and put a new one.
P.S. I will do it in the parking lot by jacking up, this will be enough, the pit is not needed? Is there a risk that something will break during dismantling / installation, a ball there or something else, in short, what should you be especially careful with?

When I changed my shoes, the wheel was hung out, I see it was torn completely. And with cracked, there is little good to drive, firstly, the control is not the same, and secondly, the lever suffers:

It is quite obvious that any part of the Honda chassis must be in good condition. This is especially true of the suspension, since, unlike the engine, which can fail and the Honda Stream simply will not go further, the breakdown of some suspension elements while driving can lead to a serious accident.
one.Besides the obvious safety, the Honda Stream's chassis is responsible for a comfortable ride and good handling. The most dangerous thing is that in this case there will be a high probability of loss of control, with the next collision with an obstacle that has arisen on the road. Only regular diagnostics of the Honda Stream chassis will avoid this situation.
Diagnostics of the Honda Stream chassis includes checking the elements:
springs and shock absorbers;
levers and supports (bearings from above, silent blocks from below);
Honda Stream stabilizer bushings;
steering rods and rack;
wheel bearings;
CV JOINT.
2. For owners of Honda Stream with experience, it is not difficult to determine the malfunction in the suspension. Experience will tell them what the problem is by the sound and its source. Plus, the most common suspension faults sound pretty much the same in all cars.
Diagnostics of the Honda Stream chassis should be carried out regularly, even without showing any hints of a malfunction. It is better to do this on a lift, but it can also be done on an ordinary flyover or observation pit.
3. It is important to remember how the Honda Stream behaves in good condition, then any future malfunction will be obvious. To understand that something is wrong with a car, you do not need to be an experienced driver, and even more so, an auto mechanic.
Most often, the following symptoms of Honda Stream chassis malfunctions occur:
the sudden appearance of noise, knocking, bouncing of the Honda Stream chassis, which can both disappear and remain even on a completely flat road;
too large rolls when cornering and noticeable swaying of the body when passing bumps or when braking;
arbitrary steering to the side, the Honda Stream leads away when driving straight;
uneven tire wear.
4. Most often, you can hear exactly the knock of the Honda Stream suspension, it indicates that the rubber elements are worn out or the fasteners that hold them are loose. There are a lot of rubber elements in the chassis, by and large, almost any Honda Stream suspension unit can knock, as a result, in order to accurately identify the cause of the knock, the car must be inspected from below.
If you hear a crunch, especially when cornering or with a sharp acceleration of the Honda Stream, then we can say with almost complete certainty that the reason lies in a malfunction of the Honda Stream CV joint, the so-called grenade. A squeak most often occurs after replacing the stabilizer bushings, often this indicates a poor-quality bushing.
5. If the Honda Stream began to drift to the side, more often this happens after the hard passage of pits and potholes, then you may have to do similarity collapse (camber-convergence of the Honda Stream). At best, this will eliminate the trouble, at worst, upon impact, something could bend, starting from the steering rod and ending with the steering knuckle.
If at least one of these signs occurs, it is necessary to diagnose the Honda Stream chassis as soon as possible. Even in the rules, operation with a faulty suspension is expressly prohibited, not to mention the fact that it is simply dangerous.
6. Not replaced in time the silent block of the Honda Stream suspension, which is not so expensive, can lead to a breakdown of the lever, with a price tag of one hundred dollars. Many drivers drive without paying attention to the sounds that appear in the running of the Honda Stream, and drive until the sound becomes completely critical, or until something simply falls off, this approach is simply absurd.
7. Periodic visual inspection of the Honda Stream undercarriage will help save money, after all, if you find a cracked boot or cover in time and make a prompt replacement, then the element that was protected by the boot will last longer. If, when examining the Honda Stream, an already torn boot was found, then you can be sure that soon this suspension element will need to be replaced.
After checking all the anthers, you should start diagnosing the front suspension elements of the Honda Stream.The front suspension is more complex than the rear, it is subject to heavy loads, as a result, it breaks much more often. First, we inspect the Honda Stream shock absorbers, they should not have dents or oil leaks. You can also try to swing the shock absorber to the sides, the swing amplitude should be insignificant.
But the easiest way to check the serviceability of this suspension element is to swing the Honda Stream by pressing the corner where the shock absorber to be diagnosed is located. If, after pressing, the Honda Stream, having returned to its original state, continued to swing up and down, then this indicates a malfunction of the shock absorber.
8. Next, the springs of the Honda Stream are inspected, often their turns break off, so you need to inspect them for cracks and the integrity of all turns. But here you can also determine the functionality of the springs without looking under the car. To do this, you just need to pay attention to the clearance of the Honda Stream, if the car has become noticeably lower, then this already indicates a malfunction of the springs, they sagged and can no longer perform their function properly.
9. Ball and silent blocks are checked only from the bottom side of the Honda Stream. To diagnose them, it is better to use some kind of metal lever to make it easier to check everything for backlash, they should not be in a working car. The stabilizer and link mounts of the Honda Stream are checked in the same way. To check the wheel bearing, you need to shake the wheel, if there is a play, this indicates a poor condition of the bearing.

Yes! Difficult question however. It seems that I will have to cut one side of the silent block first, move and cut the other side. Then try to unscrew the bolt stub. (Alternatively) weld a nut onto it and unscrew it.

Then the only option is to carefully cut the metal in this place.
, bend the piece and weld this nut. I've done this on other machines. Then you fold it back, brew it, cover it up and voila!

Greetings to all members of the forum!
After a long search on Yandex and Google, I came across a topic of interest to me - replacement Even though I have not a Stream, but a DVB, but.
The cars on the walkway are basically the same, so it's never shameful to ask for advice from those who know the essence of the issue.
Briefly about my problem: For 2 seasons (on summer tires) I threw out 4 (rear-coupled every season) balloons due to 90% wear on the entire surface. There is no wear on the thorns - the thorns do not give. Having decided that buying 2 wheels every season is an expensive undertaking and 20 tr. already thrown into the trash - the amount that is a pity to throw away, began to shake up the rear suspension.Mileage 190 thousand today, 80% on the highway, but we also have roads in the region killed in the trash, I generally keep quiet about the city.
The first step was to change the silencers on the upper levers - they simply weren't there. The backside has become much more stable. After 3 months, I matured to replace the fist bushings and then there was an embarrassment - in the service, the lower bushings were stuck on the left side in one direction, so that I enjoyed the comfort for half a day, and then it creaked and began to wind the left side. Having picked up the locksmith's car, they did not understand their mistake - the realization came later. In a week. I managed to drive to Krasnodar and on shitty sections of the route, of which especially in the Saratov region. immeasurably "catching" the car which shook her ass heavily. As a result, after the arrival, the new lower bushings of the left rear fist were correctly stuck in and at the same time the rear bushings of the levers were changed. And here are the EARRED ones. NAV 003. They are not on sale - they are gone. Ended up all over the country. Ordered earless RBIs. In principle, the rubber on the old ones can be burned out, and if you slightly saw the ear washer, then the bushing with the ears will come out of the lever and in a vice you can definitely remove the ears. Then restore the puck by welding the missing fragments. Or take one ASVU on the edge (in the existential one was lying around. One) - just 2 ears will go into action. To be honest, I don’t trust the products from asva, I think that the febest beating on the same numbers is the same asva (but marked and packed TYPE by the GERMANS).
Please comment on my theoretical delights.
Question No. 2. As I wrote above, I wound 4000 km with the silencers crawling out on the left, corrected it, but the collapse showed the house on the right -2.05, but after the first replacement everything was normal -1.3 on both sides with a tolerance of -1.75. Feels like the left side is noticeably stiffer and harder, and the right side pads. Really for 4000km svezhepostleny right silent killed killed.
IN GENERAL, I recommend changing ALL the silencers in the back IMMEDIATELY (unless, of course, they have not changed even once) - one cannot get tired and wear out - others are also dying. Well, if they changed, then everything depends on the crazy hands of the locksmith - you can immediately spoil one or more.
Another question: I looked at the link in the subject of the photo of the adjustable rear upper levers - tell me the number and where to get it. On ebee has long been - maybe we have.
The main signs of a Honda Stream rear suspension malfunction are knocking and noise in the rear suspension area, vibration while driving. The rear part also walks laterally in different directions when driving, the rear tires are worn unevenly. Vehicle controllability may be impaired, the front and rear axles do not go parallel. Only workshop technicians can determine exactly what needs to be repaired in the rear suspension when diagnosing in St. Petersburg.
The service life of the rear suspension is usually longer than the front suspension, it is approximately 250-300 thousand km under normal use. Honda Stream rear suspension repair consists in the repair of its constituent elements. Rear suspension designs are different, the main ones are as follows. Dependent, independent, beam, multi-link. The complexity of the repair still depends on the type of vehicle drive.
Service station on Grazhdanka - 603-55-05, from 10 to 20, no days off. Service station in Kupchino - 245-33-15, from 10 to 20, no days off. WhatAapp / Viber: 8-911-766-42-33
The most vulnerable spots of the rear suspension of the Honda Stream are rubber covers, anthers, silent blocks. With the help of the latter, various elements of the rear suspension are connected. Therefore, it is recommended to check them every 10 thousand km. Also, an element that often fails, like on the front suspension, shock absorbers, they must be regularly repaired or replaced. You also need to monitor the springs, torsion bars, stepped bearings, ball bearings, levers, rubber, etc. In addition, it is during the diagnosis of the rear suspension that the belts and fasteners of the muffler and the exhaust pipe must also be checked. Our service stations will carefully examine the rear suspension of your car and carry out repairs competently and efficiently, with a guarantee.
It is almost impossible for a beginner to independently make a complete and high-quality diagnosis of the rear suspension, especially to repair it. It is important to monitor the condition of the rear suspension of the Honda Stream, drive carefully on the roads, especially if there are pits and bumps, do not overload the trunk with weights, do not neglect the inspection, and make repairs on time. Neglect of these measures threatens to get into an accident.
After repairing the rear suspension, it is imperative to check the wheel alignment after the repair.
The vehicle's suspension ensures safe driving and absorbs shock when driving on uneven roads. The chassis includes elastic elements (springs, springs, torsion bars) and damping devices (shock absorbers).
Repair of the Honda Stream suspension in our car service may be necessary due to wear of parts and seals during resource depletion or mechanical damage. To avoid sudden failures, it is recommended to check the condition of individual elements after 10-15 thousand km.
To accurately understand the nature of the breakdown, the car is inspected, the operation of the shock absorbers, the integrity of the springs, springs, and the tightness of the cavities are checked. Then the following technological operations are performed:
dismantling the front / rear support, rods and other parts, flushing and cleaning all parts of the suspension;
replacement of sealing elements and anthers with signs of wear or damage, restoration of silent blocks;
elimination of gaps, backlashes and deformations of levers, ball joints, steering racks;
refueling shock absorbers with gas and hydraulic fluid.
Repair of the Honda Stream suspension is completed by checking and adjusting the wheel alignment angles (wheel alignment).
In our technical center, the restoration of the chassis and the maintenance of cars are carried out by highly qualified masters who work in accordance with the requirements of world standards. We are open all week, we work seven days a week, so you can get technical assistance at any convenient time. It will be easy for car owners from Moscow and suburban areas to get to the technical center, since it is located near the main traffic intersections.
