Of course, the fairy tale did not come true - the ugly duckling did not turn into a white swan. It's just that the new Renault Symbol has added another plus to its original virtues - reliability and economy - a completely modern design. At the same time, the car, as shown by a test drive in his homeland in Turkey (the car is produced at the Oyak Renault plant in the city of Bursa near Istanbul), has become more comfortable and more pleasant to drive.

The pump is repaired with the shaft pulley removed.

First, we drain the remaining oil and thoroughly clean the pump housing from dirt.

After cleaning the pump, we disassemble it.

The power steering closes the cover (1). It is secured with a retaining ring (2).

We use a technological hole to remove the cover.

Insert a nail of diameter into the hole and knock out the retaining ring with hammer blows. We hold the retaining ring with your hand through a rag from the back side.

The nail comes out above the cover and abuts the sharp part against the retaining ring.

With light hammer blows on the power steering shaft, we knock out all the filling. Support the lid with your hand.

After removing the mechanism from the case, continue to support it with your hands.

Insert any stop into the shaft axis hole in the power steering housing and knock out the old oil seal. The old stuffing box is replaced with a new one.
