Greetings to all! When I got a job with this person, whom I now work for, he had a stand for repairing KamAZ engines. But in what condition he was. Initially, according to the factory, it contained an electric drive - an asynchronous electric motor, a pair of starters, a belt drive, a two-stage worm gearbox. When it fell into my hands, an electric motor dangled in it, there were no side and top covers at all, there were almost no starters, and no belts. The two-stage gearbox was driven by a handle welded to the pulley a la "curve starter". For a long time all this infuriated me, it took five minutes to turn the engine in the stand. He just sat down on a stool near the stand, smoked with one hand, and twisted the handle with the other. Kick-ass. As always, there was not enough time for repairs, they were not given. But I still snatched a couple of days and did everything as it should be:

Now it's a completely different matter: you pressed the button, hold it until the engine turns to the desired position, let it go - the stand has stopped. Left button - rotation to the left, right - to the right. And just in case, I retained the possibility of a manual drive - I made an adapter for a standard 1/2 ″ tool, if you want, stick a ratchet in there, if you want a brace, if you want - just an L-shaped knob and twist it for your pleasure. This may be necessary if there is a power outage, or the stand is installed in a place where the cable does not reach.

Now turning KamAZ engines is a pleasure for me. And there is no time to smoke. The engine can be rotated 180 degrees in a matter of seconds.

P.S .: Alexey 733701, I remember your request to remove the dimensions and thicknesses of materials for the YaMZ engine stand. I just don't have enough time for this. As soon as I assemble the motor in it, I will pull it out of it, while I am completing it - the locksmith is already stuck in the next motor, they begin to wash it, partially disassemble it. In this section, in accordance with the assignment, the design of a stand for disassembly-assembly of 740.11 engines of KamAZ vehicles is being developed and proposals for improving the operation of this design are indicated.

The purpose of this section is to develop a design of a stand with an electromechanical drive of increased reliability through the use of a gearbox with a large gear ratio, which will eliminate the need for a manual drive.

In the motor section of the ATP, the engines removed from the car are being repaired. When repairing engines, like other vehicle units, disassembly and assembly work is performed, the quality of which largely determines the quality of repair. For high-quality and efficient performance of dismantling and assembly works at the enterprise's motor depot, there is a special stand of the R-770 brand, the design of which provides convenient access to any parts of the engine during dismantling and assembly operations. The method of disassembling and assembling engines on a low metal table, which is practiced in some ATP and service station, is ineffective and dangerous, since the engine has to be turned to various unstable positions all the time.

In the engine section of this enterprise, a stand is used for disassembling and assembling engines, equipped with a manual drive to change the position of the unit during the repair process, which is inconvenient and unproductive.

It is not so important why the unit failed, in any case, the result is the same - the need for diagnostics and further repair work. In this case, a special stand used for such purposes will be indispensable. A suspended motor is attached to it, and then it becomes much easier to diagnose, transport and repair the unit. In addition, most of these mechanisms are equipped with a special unit, thanks to which the angle of rotation of the engine can be changed in any range, which greatly facilitates the work carried out.

But, like all fixtures, such a stand also needs good care. Therefore, be sure to carry out a visual inspection to search for defects, and if there are any, then the operation should be postponed. Before each use, check whether all fasteners are securely fixed, if not, then make a constriction. And of course, keep it only in a dry and clean place, remove all debris after each use, and lubricate all moving parts regularly. Only with proper operation, the stand, even a homemade one, will serve for a long time, reliably and will pay off if you are going to become a minder.
