The thickness of the hose is taken on the basis of the washing performance - i.e. should be sufficient for filling a 10 liter container in 1 min by gravity. If you connect to the tap of the barrel, then I think the length of the hose does not matter. As for the oil, they probably meant the oil chamber of the plunger drive, there it is about 100 ml.
