To complete the task, you will need very few tools:

• Plastic spatula;
• Screwdriver suitable for screws;
• Flashlight.

Each model has its own nuances, but the principle is always the same. It's quite simple:

1. Find the screws you need;
2. Unscrew them;
3. Remove the glove compartment from the clips;
4. Take out the glove compartment;
5. Continue repairing the glove compartment or panel.

The difficulty lies in the fact that the owner of the car may unscrew the wrong screw or even not find them.

First you need to remove the side cover panel. It can be removed easily, since it is provided so that in cases of breakdowns inside the dashboard, it can be opened and closed without problems, and so that the motorist does not have to remove the entire front panel. To do this, you can simply pry its edges with a wide flat screwdriver or a spatula and pull it towards you.

The plug is pushed on and pulled towards itself until all of its clips unfasten and it comes off. There are two screws under the cover - black and white. To work directly with the glove compartment and remove it, you need to unscrew the black one, and do not touch the white one.

There are also screws inside the glove compartment itself, which should be noted further. After lifting the glove compartment lid and fixing it in this position, you need to find two screws on top and, by unscrewing them, close the glove compartment lid. If it does not open, you do not need to touch it.

There are two latches and a fabric gasket under the glove compartment, which will also interfere, so first you need to unfasten the latches (they just stretch downward), and then remove the panel from the fabric. There is a fuse box inside, so you don't need to touch anything else - you can accidentally hit something important and cause more serious damage to the car than a malfunction of the glove compartment.

There, under the glove compartment, there are other screws that need to be removed, so the steps are as follows: you climb even further under the glove compartment and look for two black screws next to the yellow clips on which there were latches. Do not touch the gray bolts - they are not needed now.

Now the glove compartment is held only by a few clips, which simply snap off. It is most convenient to start removing the glove compartment from the right side of the mounts, where the plastic cap was removed and where the very first bolt was unscrewed. Gently pull down that part of the glove compartment, which we then "freed". It bends, so be careful not to break it off at all.

When the clip on the part is detached, you can start removing the remaining clips - they are located around the perimeter of the glove compartment at approximately the corners. After disconnecting all the clips, the glove compartment is simply pulled towards itself and removed. Now you can carry out repair work on it - for example, fix the cover or the light.

After the glove compartment has been removed and repaired, the question arises as to how to put it back. Everything is done exactly the same way, only in the reverse order - as if from the end, that is, first the glove compartment is put in place, fixed on the clips, the two lower screws are screwed in, the fabric panel is put back, the latches are put on it, two screws are screwed in in the glove compartment, and another one on the side. The last step will be to install a plastic panel on the side of the dashboard.

• It will be more convenient to focus on neighboring parts, looking for screws. So, the lower screws need to be looked for under the dashboard trim near the yellow clips.
• It is best to take a small and not too massive screwdriver - it will be most convenient for it to work;
• Do not forget about the flashlight - the backlight will help you to see the screws in the dark and not touch important details;
• If for some reason it is not possible to remove the glove compartment separately, start removing the entire front panel. It will take longer, but you will solve the problem;
