In detail: do-it-yourself Aquarius repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
Borehole pumps Aquarius are used to create a full-fledged water supply system from a well. They are productive, reliable and maintenance-free.
But, if the rules for operating the device are violated, individual pump units fail, as a result of which the water supply to the house disappears indefinitely. In this case, the device needs to be repaired, which can be done by hand.
Despite the functionality and performance, Aquarius pumps have a simple design. This allows repairing 60% of the device's components.
The pump is constantly in the water. This causes the device to operate under load. The content of abrasive materials, sludge, too high water temperature, incorrect connection affect the operation of the device. But, despite the negative nature of the impact, these factors lead to gradual wear and tear of mechanisms. As a result, a breakdown can be detected at an early stage, which simplifies the repair.
Blockage of the inside of the submersible pump
Negative factors affecting the operation and condition of the pumping device are:
- operation of the device in idle mode without pumping water;
- concentration of sand and other abrasive materials in water over 50%;
- work with liquid, the temperature of which exceeds 40 degrees;
- sharp and frequent voltage drops in the working network;
- improper fastening of the cable ends at the top of the well;
- incorrect fixation of the device cable;
- Incorrect connection of the submersible electric pump cable under water.

The factors that can lead to breakdown and make it necessary to repair the Aquarius pump include frequent removal of the device from the well, and the lack of grounding. Lack of grounding leads to problematic breakdowns, as it increases the rate of corrosion of metal parts. In addition, the absence of a filter on the pump inlet elements leads to an increased load on the unit and, as a result, its malfunction.

As for malfunctions, a common cause of a deep pump breakdown is the failure of the device magnet. In this case, it will not be possible to make repairs with your own hands. It is not possible to select the correct electromagnet and adjust it without special equipment. If a magnet is the cause of the breakdown, it is better to take the device immediately to a workshop specializing in pump repair.
Pumps fail due to critical operating conditions
Another common problem with Aquarius pumping equipment is the breakdown of the electric motor of the device. As a result of working with liquids filled with abrasives, the motor winding is damaged. In this case, there is contact with the metal housing, which can lead to a short circuit and damage to the motor. In such a situation, the corps suffers. Under the influence of an electric current, corrosion of stainless steel is accelerated and it burns out at the points of contact.
With prolonged loads on the device, the bearing part or the rod fails. In this case, the pump continues to turn on, but water is not pumped. If the cause is a broken bearing assembly, self-repair is possible. If the stem is broken, the situation can be corrected only by finding the corresponding part from another pump.
Incorrect installation of the device will damage the electrical cable and armature winding. In this case, the pump will not turn on. The connection of the device to the network is checked, then there is a step-by-step visual inspection of the wiring and anchor.
Strong vibration during operation is a consequence of damage to the anti-vibration pad (campound). Repair of the vibration electric pump in this case is only possible when replacing the gasket with the same one from another Aquarius pump.

The first thing to do in the event of a malfunction of the pumping equipment is to conduct a thorough external examination of the device.
Borehole pump repair
To make such an inspection complete, the following algorithm is followed in the process:
- The first step is to turn off the device so that it cannot turn on and retrieve it from the well. In this case, care must be taken not to damage the device against the channel walls.
- Inspect the housing and cable connections for rust. If there is rust on the case, then the device is a fake.
- Checking the free movement of the working shaft of the device. To do this, the part must be twisted by hand. If the move is free, go to the next stage.
- Checking the cable and nodes. The main thing to pay attention to is traces of thermal damage.
If a superficial examination does not reveal any problems, and the device still does not work, disassemble the pump Aquariusand then inspect the main components and mechanisms. Disassembly takes place in the following stages:
- Removing the retaining ring. This process is quite laborious, since the ring prevents accidental opening of the device. To remove it, you need to squeeze the cylindrical pump housing. Compression is carried out closer to the ends. The ring was installed in a special groove. With this manipulation, the clamp of the ring in the recess is loosened and it is removed using pliers.
- The movable wheels are removed in the order in which they stand.
- Further, the retainers of the thrust cover with bearings are removed. After that, the bearing mechanism is detached.
- The electric motor is removed.
Always use a safety rope when lifting the pump.
After disassembling the equipment, special attention is paid to the bearing part. The bearings should move smoothly around the axis. They should be free of signs of damage and cracks. If there is not enough oil inside the bearing, it must be replenished. If there is not enough oil in the bearings, the oil seal should be carefully inspected. Replace it if necessary.
Further, a thorough examination of the remaining nodes is carried out. The motor and the armature must have a tight, undamaged winding. There should be no traces of rust.
If the cause of the breakdown is identified, the defective part is replaced with a suitable one. It should be noted that only blades, bearing assembly and device seals can be purchased separately. All other parts will have to be picked up from donor pumps.
After replacing the mechanisms, the device is assembled in the reverse order.

To prevent damage to the Aquarius pumping equipment, you should properly install your pump and regularly carry out scheduled maintenance of the device.
The term of its operation largely depends on how to connect the device to the power grid and the water utility system.
First of all, the connection of the pump to the pipeline must go through the appropriate channels. In the case of using a pump for irrigation and filling of containers of various volumes, you can connect a regular hose to the device. If the device is used for permanent water supply, it is better to use metal or polymer pipes. Wherein make sure that the operating pressure of the pump matches the maximum pipe pressure. A suitable option for 1-in. Pump adapters is a 32 mm pipe diameter.
It is advisable to install a check valve on the pump pipe at a distance of 1 meter from the outlet pipe. It will prevent water from returning back to the device, which puts additional stress on the mechanisms. The valve must be on the underwater section of the pipeline.Installation above water level is allowed only if the electric pump is located below ground level by no more than 3 meters.
It is best to connect the pipe to the pump with a suitable flange.
The cable, which is attached to the lugs of the device, must be loosened. In the well, it plays a safety role and, with a strong tension, violates the correct orientation of the device in space, which affects the correct operation.
The pump suspension must be very strong
When immersing pumping equipment in a well, it should be borne in mind that from the lower edge of the device to the bottom of the reservoir is not less than 0.4 meters. This will reduce the amount of abrasive absorbed. The water column above the upper edge of the device should not exceed 10 meters, which will ensure optimal pressure inside the device.
An important point in the periodic scheduled maintenance of the Aquarius pump is cleaning.
You can safely clean the appliance by following this plan:
- Removing the device from the well.
- Dismantling and cleaning the protective cage. Depending on the model, the dimensions and retainers of the cage differ.
- Loosen the bolts of the electric motor and remove it from the device.
- Removing special couplings responsible for transmitting torque to the working body.
- Knots and mechanisms are laid out on a clean surface or cloth.
- Using a wrench or with our hands, we wrap the shaft of the device, while rinsing it with a stream of water from a hose.
- The impeller is washed out three times.
- All mechanisms are dried (capacitor on automatic equipment), checked again and assembled into a case in the reverse order.
Pump "Aquarius" DIY repair
Pump "Aquarius" DIY repair
The construction of a full-fledged country house is impossible without the creation of a water supply system. Only in rare cases are homeowners able to connect to mains, and the vast majority are building autonomous water supply systems. The construction of an individual water supply system with a water source in the form of a well or a well will make it possible to be independent from utility providers.
Pump "Aquarius" DIY repair
In some cases, the design and construction of an autonomous water supply can be more expensive than connecting to a general water supply, but in the course of further operation you will receive water for various household needs almost free of charge.
A typical household water production and distribution system includes wells or wells with a submersible pumping device. Pumps manufactured by Vodoley are very popular among consumers. These are quite reliable devices, but sometimes the owner has to repair the "Aquarius" pump with his own hands.
On sale there is a wide range of pumping devices manufactured by the company "Aquarius".
The greatest demand among the owners of individual water supply systems is used by the submersible pumping borehole device "Vodoley" BTsPE 0.5-32U. It can be purchased at a price of 6590 rubles. Such a pump can supply water in a volume of up to 3.6 cubic meters per hour and is capable of lifting water to a height of 47 meters.
The most budgetary variant of the lineup is the "Vodoley-3" pumping device. It is designed for installation in wells, capable of pumping 0.4 cubic meters of water per hour and has a power of 265 watts. Such a pump will cost 1.6 thousand rubles.
A typical representative of the Vodoley pumping device range consists of two main structural parts:
- electric motorconsisting of a rotor with a starter and ball bearings operating in oil to reduce friction;
- actually pumping equipment - impellers with blades.
The pumping device pumps water using centrifugal force. The electric motor rotates the working shaft on which the blades are mounted. All components are housed in the body. When the power is supplied to the electric motor, the impeller starts to rotate.Water falling on the blades, under the action of centrifugal force, is thrown out to the periphery of the working vessel and, under pressure, enters the outlet of the pumping device.
The device of pumps Aquarius
The operation of the pumping equipment is controlled by automatic devices manufactured by Thermik from Germany, which ensures the reliability of its operation. To control the operation of the pumping equipment "Vodoley" in a number of models there is a remote control, which is connected with a flexible wire to the control unit.
In some models, it is also possible to regulate the pressure of the supplied water, which is carried out by turning a special valve located at the outlet section of the branch pipe.
Pumping devices "Vodoley" demonstrate uninterrupted operation for a long time, however, any complex technical equipment needs regular routine maintenance (the recommended frequency is 1 every 2 years), during which defects that need to be eliminated may be revealed.
Disassembly and cleaning of pumps
Algorithm for routine maintenance
- We remove the pumping device from the well.
- We carry out an external inspection of the equipment. Make sure there is no rust on the case.
- Rotate the working shaft of the device with your hands. It should rotate without jamming.
- If necessary, disassemble the pumping equipment and inspect the ball bearing assembly. They must support the free rotation of the working parts.
- Check the oil level in the ball bearing unit. Refill its level if necessary.
- Check the oil seal, it must not let oil through, otherwise the device will run dry and may break.
- Both during visual inspection and when checking internal parts, pay special attention to traces of possible overheating of equipment components.
- Inspect the impellers of the pumping equipment. Over time, the blades can wear out and the pump loses its power. The impellers can be replaced if necessary.
Note! A significant part of the models of pumping equipment does not have a built-in filter designed to protect the device from sand and small stones, which are found in poorly treated well or well water.
Unscheduled repairs of the Vodoley pumping equipment are performed when the device is stopped.
When choosing a pumping device, be sure to correlate the quality and cleanliness in your well or well and the technical description of the equipment. The most that the pumping device "Aquarius" can do is to prevent large stones from entering with the help of a metal mesh located outside the device. There are no filters inside the equipment. Thus, the "sore point" of the "Aquarius" pumping devices is the clogging of their working units. In the event that the blockage has not disabled important parts, the pumping device can be repaired by yourself.
Cleaning of pumps "Aquarius". Algorithm
- We remove the pump from the well or from the well.
- We remove the protective metal mesh from the equipment. It can be attached in different ways. On equipment from the early production period, the mesh is fixed with two screws. On newer models, the mesh is fixed with a clamp, which is pushed off with a slotted screwdriver. On models with a large cross-section, the cable channel is additionally dismantled, which is a metal gutter.
- We dismantle the electric motor of the pumping device. It is usually attached with four 10mm head bolts.
- We dismantle the plastic couplings, which are designed to transmit the torque of the motor shaft to the impellers.
- We lay out the disassembled device on a clean horizontal surface.
- With the end part of the key (12 mm), carefully turn the working shaft, holding the upper part of the equipment with your hand.
- After a slight rotation of the shaft, we direct a stream of water from the hose to the working part in order to rinse it and remove the sand particles. Turning the shaft, we continue to rinse the working units with water.
- If flushing the shaft helped, the shaft began to rotate successfully, we assemble the device.
In the event of complex problems in pumping devices, it is best to contact service personnel. However, with minor damage, repair work can be carried out independently.
- We remove the device from the well or well and disconnect it from the power supply.
- With great effort we squeeze the body of the pumping device in the upper and lower parts, focusing on the lower edge of the equipment.
- Using narrow nose pliers, dismantle the retaining ring. It is located in the groove. Compression of the pump housing causes the retaining ring clamp to loosen.
- We dismantle all the impellers of the device one by one.
- We remove the thrust cover on which the bearing assembly is located.
- If necessary, we change the damaged parts of the equipment.
- We mount all parts of the device in reverse order, checking the free rotation of the impellers.
We note right away that complete disassembly and assembly of the Vodoley pumping equipment in a domestic environment requires considerable effort. In specialized service centers, the dismantling of the component parts is carried out using a press.
Pumping devices "Vodoley" are reliable and efficient equipment capable of high-quality work for a long time without outside interference. Compliance with the required operating conditions, regular routine maintenance of pumping equipment will allow you to operate it for a long period. By carrying out regular cleaning of the "Aquarius" pump, you can avoid the appearance of more serious problems with the equipment.
Aquarius - vibration pumps produced by the Promelectro plant (Kharkov), popular in the CIS due to their affordable cost and high performance. High-quality equipment is sold under this brand - according to statistics, the proportion of factory defects does not exceed 0.12%. However, even this is not a guarantee of the absence of breakdowns during operation, and we will tell you about how to eliminate them in this article.
The publication discusses the design features of the Aquarius pumps, their typical malfunctions, and provides instructions on how to repair equipment with your own hands.
Plant "Promelectro" produces and supplies to the market 2 series of pumps Aquarius - BTsPEU and BTsPE. The differences between them are in the diameter of the case, for BTsPEU it is 95 mm, and for BTsPE it is 105 mm. This must be taken into account when choosing equipment, since the minimum clearance between the pump casing and the borehole walls should not be less than 5 mm.
According to the manufacturer, the actual service life of the pumps is 6000 hours, which is approximately equal to 6 years of operation. Moreover, in the process of use, the units do not require any maintenance.
- Aquarius BTsPE 0.32-25U;
- Aquarius BTsPE 1.2-40U;
- Aquarius BTsPEU 0.5-63U.
The BTsPE 0.32-25U model is the most affordable pump among the entire product range, its cost is only 8 thousand rubles. This unit is designed for wells and wells with a low flow rate, its flow rate is 1.2 m 3 / h, the head is 25 m.
BTsPE 1.2-40U is sold at a price of 13 thousand rubles. This model is focused on pumping large volumes of water, it can be used for irrigation or water supply to several consuming points at the same time. The flow rate is 4.3 m 3 / h, the head is 40 m.
The BTsPEU 0.5-63U model in a narrow housing is designed for installation in wells with diameters of 100-110 mm. This is one of the most powerful in terms of head (63 m, flow rate - 1.8 m 3 / h) versions of the Aquarius pump, which is optimal for arranging an automatically pressurized water supply system. Price - 14.5 thousand.
According to technical requirements, the installation of a submersible pump should not be carried out at a point lower than 10 m from the water surface. Also, a distance of 40 cm between the bottom of the well or well and the body must be observed. If the water source is contaminated, then in order to protect the equipment from mechanical impurities, this distance must be increased. The pump must be completely submerged in water; dry running of the engine is unacceptable, as this leads to its rapid overheating. The temperature of the pumped-over liquid should not exceed 35 degrees.
Manufacturer's die on the pump
All equipment of the BTsPE and BTsPEU series are equipped with an outlet pipe with a diameter of 1 ″. To connect it, you need to use a pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, it is important not to narrow the diameter of the outlet pipe. Use a pipe or hose rated for a working pressure not less than that of the pump.
The pump is installed according to the following algorithm:
- A check valve is installed in the discharge branch pipes.
- A pipe or hose is connected to the pump through a 32-1 standard coupling (included in the kit).
- A safety cable is attached to the mounting lug.
- With the help of a cable, the pump is carefully lowered into a well or well.
After installation and fastening, the first start-up is performed and the pressure water supply is connected to the source of water consumption. If, after starting, the pump pumps turbid water, it is necessary to let it run until clean liquid begins to flow. Turning off the pump while pumping a turbid wagon is fraught with problems with mechanical particles that have settled inside the hydraulic part, which can interfere with the normal operation of the valve.
During operation, the pump must not be allowed to operate at a performance level below the permissible limit of 0.36 m3 / h, as this leads to an increase in the temperature of the water inside the hydraulic part of the housing and, as a result, to overheating of the drive.
When connecting a hydraulic accumulator to the equipment, the volume of the expansion tank must be selected in accordance with the rated capacity of the unit. So, for pumps of the BTsPE 0.5 series, you need to choose a hydraulic accumulator with a capacity of 25-35 liters, and for models 61U and 100U - at least 50 liters.
If the pump will not be used for a long time after operation, it must be rinsed with clean water and dried before storage. When reused, the unit must be left in water for 30-60 m, after which it can be started.

Aquarius pumps are centrifugal devices that pump water by rotating an impeller attached to the shaft. The typical design of the units consists of a housing, inside which there is a rotation shaft with a drum and drive rings attached to it. The motor part consists of a stator, a rotor and a pair of ball bearings in an oil bath. The control panel of the unit is located on the power cord, which allows it to be controlled remotely.
Aquarius pump device
During operation, once a year, it is necessary to carry out routine maintenance of the pump, the purpose of which is to identify problems requiring repair. Maintenance consists of the following steps:
- Check the case for rust and damage, and check for any loose screws.
- Turn the rotation shaft by hand, it should have free play, without any jamming.
- Disassemble the device housing and check the wear of the ball bearings and the absence of seizure of their travel.
- Check the oil level in the bearing unit, fill the bath with lubricant if necessary.
- Inspect the oil seal, it should not bleed oil, if this happens, the seal must be replaced.
- When checking the internal components of the case, make sure there are no signs of overheating.
- Pay attention to the impeller blades, during operation they can wear out or deform, which will lead to a decrease in the rated power of the pump. Wheels, if necessary, must be replaced.
Often, the failure of the pump to work is associated with clogging of its internal components, in which case it is necessary to disassemble and clean the device. This is done as follows:
- The protective metal mesh is removed from the suction port. In old models, it is fixed with two screws, in new ones - by means of a clamp that can be pry off with a regular screwdriver.
- We disassemble the device by unscrewing the screws that fix the case. We dismantle the engine, which is mounted on 4 bolts with 10 mm heads.
- We remove plastic couplings and oil seals that act as seals. The motor part remains intact.
- We wash the removed spare parts and clean them from plaque and dirt. With a 12 key, we turn the shaft, while simultaneously supplying it with a powerful stream of water from the hose. All accumulated mechanical particles must be removed.
After flushing and assembling the device, its work should be adjusted, but if this did not help, then more serious repairs are needed. You can do this with your own hands, however, if the pump is still under warranty service, it makes sense to deliver the equipment to a service center, where specialists will carry out repairs (self-disassembly of the pump will void your warranty). Service workshops of the company are located in cities such as Kirov, Yekaterinburg, Moscow and many other regional centers of Russia.
Among the frequent malfunctions of Aquarius pumps, we highlight:
- the unit is turned on does not pump water, but emits a hum - the reason: the bearing assembly is damaged or the rod is torn off (bearings can be bought and replaced with your own hands, while there are no rods on sale and repair in this case is only possible with a donor pump);
- the pump does not turn on when there is power - reason: warmed armature winding or damaged power supply wire;
- a strong level of vibration during operation - the reason: damage or wear of the compound (vibration-absorbing pad).
Difficulties in disassembling the pump can arise at the stage of removing the retaining ring, which in industrial conditions is dismantled using a special press. To remove the ring, you need to squeeze the pump housing, which will loosen its clamp, and try to pull the ring with pliers.
Assembly and disassembly of the Aquarius pump is a very crucial moment for its owner. It usually occurs when it is necessary to troubleshoot a problem with the device.
This is especially important when a person has decided to independently determine the breakdown of the unit and replace the parts that have received defects. How to disassemble an Aquarius pump, instructions for repairing the device are offered in this article.
A common representative of the Vodoley pump range has two main structural parts:
- An electric motor, consisting of a starter, rotor and ball bearings, which run in oil, which reduces the friction of the assembly.
- Pumping equipment including impeller with blades.
The pumping of water in the pumping device occurs through the use of centrifugal force. The working shaft, with the blades mounted on it, rotates the electric motor.
All components are housed in a metal case. The impeller begins to rotate with the supply of power to the electric motor.
Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid falling on the blades is thrown onto the sides of the working container and, under the pressure arising on it, enters the branch pipe for water outlet from the pumping device.
Aquarius pump device
Despite the fact that the pumping devices "Vodoley" can operate smoothly for a long time, but like any technical equipment, the unit needs periodic routine maintenance - once every two years, when it is possible to identify defects in the elements that need to be eliminated.
- The pumping device is retrieved from the well.
- An external inspection of the unit is carried out, the absence of rust on the body is monitored.
- The working shaft of the device is manually scrolled. Its rotation should be smooth without jamming.
- If necessary, the pumping equipment is disassembled and the unit with ball bearings is inspected. Their task is to maintain the free rotation of the elements of the device.
- The oil level is checked in the ball bearing unit. Replenished if necessary.
- The oil seal is checked, which must let the oil pass, otherwise the device will run dry and may eventually break.
Advice: During an external examination, and when checking the internal elements, it is necessary to pay special attention to the presence of traces of possible overheating of the unit components.
- The impellers of the pump are inspected. The blades may wear out over time and the apparatus will lose its power. The impellers can be replaced if necessary.
Tip: Many models of pumping equipment are made without a built-in filter, which are designed to protect the apparatus from sand and small stones present in poorly treated water of a well or well. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the equipment more often.
If the Aquarius pump does not pump well, it is necessary to make unscheduled repairs.
Advice: When choosing a unit, it is imperative to correlate the quality and purity in the existing well or in the well, with the technical description of the equipment.
A feature of the "Vodoley" pumping device is that there are no filters at all inside the equipment, which makes such a device vulnerable to clogging of its working units. If the clogging does not affect the serviceability of important parts, then the pump can be repaired by hand (see Repairing submersible pumps: how to do it right).
The cleaning procedure for the unit is as follows:
- The pump is removed from the source.
- The protective metal mesh is removed from the equipment. It can be fixed in different ways.
On older pumps, the screen is secured with two screws. On the latest models, the mesh is fixed with a clamp, which can be pushed on and removed with a slotted screwdriver. On models with a large cross-section, the cable channel is additionally removed, in the form of a metal gutter. - The electric motor of the device is dismantled. It is usually fixed with four bolts with 10 mm heads.
- Dismantle plastic couplings designed to transfer the rotation of the motor shaft to the impellers.
- All details are laid out on a clean horizontal surface.
- Using a 12 mm socket wrench, carefully turn the work shaft while holding the top of the equipment by hand.
- After the shaft turns a little on the working part, a stream of water is directed from the hose, which rinses the pumps of the aquarius, the sand is removed from the device.
- Turning the shaft, water flushing of the working units continues.
- If flushing the shaft helped and it starts to rotate well, the device can be assembled.
Advice: If you have complex problems in the "Aquarius" unit, it is best to contact the service center. For minor damage, repairs can be carried out on your own.
- The device is removed from the source and disconnected from the power supply.
- With great force, the pump casing is compressed in the upper and lower parts, resting on its lower edge.
- The retaining ring located in the groove is removed. Compression of the device body is necessary to loosen the retaining ring clamp.
- All impellers of the apparatus are gradually dismantled.
- The thrust cover is removed, where the bearing assembly is located.
- If it becomes necessary to replace damaged equipment elements for spare parts for the Aquarius pump.
- All parts of the pump are mounted in reverse order, controlling the rotation of the impellers, it must be free.
Tip: Complete disassembly and assembly of Aquarius equipment at home requires a lot of effort. In specialized workshops, the dismantling of component units is carried out using pressing equipment.
After completing the assembly of the pump, it is necessary to correctly connect it to the water supply system. Such units automatically maintain the required pressure in the system, which independently controls the activation of the electric pump as the water in the source decreases. The photo shows a diagram of the device of the "Aquarius" pump for providing the house with water.
Aquarius pump connection diagram
Using only the "Aquarius" centrifugal pump, it is not only possible to raise water from the well to the surface, but also to ensure its economical operation, to maintain the pressure in the system.
The centrifugal submersible pump is connected in the following sequence:
- The pump is lowered into the well.
- It is connected to the unit for automatic pressure maintenance by means of a non-return valve.
Advice: To ensure long-term operation of the pump, it is necessary to choose a volume of the pressure tank more than 24 liters, which depends on the water consumption. It is better to entrust the connection of the unit to qualified personnel.
- Diaphragm tank, pressure switch and pressure gauge are mounted together via a four-way connector.
- The check valve is installed on the surface so that it is possible to drain the water and check the operation of the electric pump without an automatic system.
- The electric pump is suspended. At the same time, its electrical cable should not be under tension.
- When installing the water supply system, you can use steel, plastic pipes or rubber hoses with clamps, the main thing is to ensure the tightness of the connections.
How to properly repair the "Aquarius" pump, install it in the water supply system is well shown by the video in this article. Pumping devices "Vodoley" are reliable and efficient equipment capable of high-quality work for a long time without outside interference.
Most families living in their home or in the country have a well for water supply, in which a submersible centrifugal pump is working. Over time, you may notice that the former pressure is no longer there, there may be several reasons for this, one of which is clogging, overgrowing of deposits, salts or silt of the pump internals. Therefore, it is necessary to disassemble - audit on your own.
The device of pumps from different manufacturers is about the same, we will disassemble the youngest "Aquarius", which has been operating in the well for more than ten years.
On the video: Dismantling the Vodoley deep-well pump
Item 1. Tools.
1. Screwdriver, pliers, wrench 10.
2. Mandatory - Press or hydraulic jack.
Clause 2. Disassembly.
First, in the middle of the case, unscrew two bolts, under a flat screwdriver, after which you can remove the coarse filter grill.
We get access to four turnkey bolts for 10, they are located in a circle, we unscrew them.
Now you can disconnect the submersible pump in two halves, the pump and the motor.
Inside we see two plastic couplings, they can be easily removed.
We remove the motor coupling and see or do not see the grease that has come out. The presence of grease indicates that the oil seal is already worn out and must be replaced with a new one.
Removing the coupling from the pumping half, you can immediately remove the impeller axle and insert it back, without completely disassembling the pump, it will not work, two support washers will move inside. Therefore, if you do not plan to completely disassemble the pump, then the axle does not need to be touched, turn the case over, it may fall out by itself.
If you decide to continue disassembling, then you will definitely need a press or its homemade analogue from a hydraulic jack.
We install the pump body under the press, on wooden pads, for additional safety, with the retaining ring up.
Little by little we press and squeeze the locking ring with pliers until the antennae completely converge, then we begin to release the jack and the ring with the plug will go up, go out.
Carefully! - Do not over-press to prevent the brass body of the plug from breaking.
That's all, we have “cracked” the stopper.
We take out the insides from the case.
And here are the very washers that fall off the axis when it is removed.
This junior model of "Aquarius" has only four sections, we take out and disassemble each for inspection and cleaning.
Point 3. Cleaning the pump.
Take a piece of rigid thin wire, for example from a semiautomatic welding machine, fold it in half, and bend it in the shape of the impeller channel. Like a ramrod, we clean the channels between the blades.
Depending on the quality of the water, in a particular area, the corresponding deposits will accumulate, in my case it is rust.
We will perform mechanical cleaning of each section.
Then you can apply an acid bath.
And immediately an alkaline bath (baking soda) to neutralize the acid.
Point 4. Assembling the pump.
Let's assemble in reverse order, don't forget about the washers.
We do not confuse the location of the impeller.
The last is the plug.
Next, you need to be very careful so that the axis does not move outward and the support washers do not sleep inside, otherwise you will have to disassemble everything again.
Install the retaining ring and squeeze the antennae with pliers.
We lower the plug into place until the ring is slightly hidden in the body.
Next, press again until the ring clicks into the groove completely.
We carefully evaluate how everything turned out so that later the pump does not fall into the well.
Now you can put everything together completely, or first let's look inside the motor and find out how much water is in the oil.
Point 5. Checking the motor.
On this sample of the depth-depth device, at the slightest touch of the screwdriver to the bolts, half of them immediately fall off the caps, about the reason for what happened, I can only assume that they were tightened by someone or the copper from which they were made (which is most likely!)
