Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on

Details: Zanussi washing machine DIY repair is not included from the real wizard for the site my.housecope.com.

A malfunction that catches by surprise. Especially people without electrical training. But you can always figure it out.

  • The Start button was pressed, but nothing happened.
  • The "Start" button was pressed, the indicator came on, no other events occur.
  • After pressing the "Start" button, all indicators blinked.
  • Bad contact in the socket or there is no phase in the network.
  • Breakage inside the power cord.
  • Breakage or oxidation of the "Start" button
  • Noise filter defective.
  • Defective sunroof locking device (UBL).
  • Controller malfunction.
  • Electronic module defective.
  • Broken wires of the electrical circuit.

Remove the power plug from the socket.

Checking the electrical circuit

If the washing machine does not turn on, it means that no voltage is supplied to it, or it is blocked by a malfunction in the circuit inside the washing machine. You can check the presence of voltage and the integrity of the wires using a conventional tester.

Checking the outlet

The most visual and simple way is to connect a table lamp to the outlet. If the lamp does not light, the outlet needs to be repaired. Poor contact in an old, loosened outlet can also cause a lack of voltage in the washing machine. Try wiggling the plug in the outlet or plugging the washing machine into a working one.

Mains wire

Next, we check the network wire. During operation, the wire can be exposed to mechanical stress (overlaps, tension, pinching) due to carelessness, therefore it can be damaged. The check consists in "ringing" the tester of all three wires of the power cord.

Video (click to play).

Noise filter (FPS)

Next in line is the noise filter (FPS). It filters out radio frequency interference from the washing machine (controller, motor, etc.). It is most convenient to filter the noise at the mains terminals, therefore, when the noise filter is defective, it does not allow the mains voltage to pass through. FPS is checked by "ringing" the wires at its input and output. If the FPS "does not ring", it must be replaced.

Power button

Further along the circuit, the voltage is supplied either to the "Start" button, or to the controller or electronic module, depending on the model. If the button, then we ring the two wires suitable for it. If the result is positive, we call the button itself at the entrance and exit when its position is pressed. Remember that the washing machine must be de-energized at this moment. If the button does not ring, we replace it.

Command device or electronic module

If up to this point everything is in order and after the FPS the wires follow to the electronic module or the controller, you should think about the advisability of self-repairing these complex electrical devices. Without electronics skills, testing these devices and deciding whether new ones are needed is difficult. After all, they are quite expensive. To finally make sure that it is the programmer or the electronic module that is faulty, you need to check the last possible reason why the washing machine does not turn on - the wires of the electrical circuit and the door lock device. After all, this is easier to do than to look for a malfunction in the command apparatus.

Wiring diagram

During the operation of the washing machine, wires can fall out of the mounting slots, rub against the body of the washing machine and, ultimately, be damaged. A careful visual inspection will help to identify problem areas without resorting to the help of a tester.

Lock the hatch door

If the door lock device is faulty, the power indicator is on, but the washing machine will not turn on. If the voltage is supplied to the UBL (measured with a tester), but it does not work, the UBL must be replaced. If there is no voltage at the UBL, the cause of the malfunction must be looked for in the programmer or electronic module.

Breakdowns always overtake suddenly, and often the desire to start a large wash unexpectedly ends with nerves and bewilderment. And quite recently, a properly working machine stops responding to your requests. The Zanussi washing machine does not turn on for many reasons, ranging from problems with the power supply in the room to a non-functioning door lock and a faulty module.

But do not write off the washing machine and plan to buy new equipment. It is quite possible to solve the problem and continue the scheduled wash, just follow the instructions below.

Call it "the law of meanness", an accident or a pattern, but sooner or later the washing machine may break down. And Zanussi machines are no exception. You can notice the "SOS" signal from the washing machine by the following "symptoms".

  1. The system does not respond to pressing the Start button. The lamps do not light up, water is not drawn, which does not change even after reconnecting.
  2. Power is “knocked out”. After pressing the start button, several indicators light up and immediately go out.
  3. The hatch door does not close. There is no click and blocking of the tank.
  4. Everything is flashing. The situation is the opposite of the first: the pressed "Start" provokes the blinking of all the lamps on the control panel. Even those that usually go unlit.

If you see one of the following pictures, restart the machine. A single system failure is possible, but if history repeats, it is necessary to drip deeper and carry out repairs with your own hands. You will have to fix one of the following problems:

  • loose contacts in the outlet;
  • lack of power supply in the network;
  • Broken cord or broken plug
  • damage to the power button;
  • faulty FPS;
  • problem with UBL;
  • defective wiring diagram;
  • broken internal wiring;
  • non-functioning programmer or program selector.

An ordinary person can cope on their own with only some of the listed flaws, but there is no need to rush to call the service department. It is better to try to pinpoint the location of the breakdown, because something from the list is solved quickly and without the involvement of specialists. Where to start and what to check - we'll tell you further.

The first step in the instructions on what to do if the Zanussi washing machine stops responding to the "Start" button is to check the power supply. Most problems with starting happen due to banal carelessness: they forgot to connect the cord or did not notice that there is no electricity at home.

If the plug is in the outlet, there is light in other rooms, and the cycle still does not start, then it is recommended to pay attention to the specific outlet. More precisely, it is necessary to find out if there is tension in it. The easiest way is to plug a hairdryer or table lamp into the socket under test. The lack of reaction from the devices indicates loose contacts, damaged insulation and the necessary repairs. But with the help of an extension cord, you can simply and quickly start the washing machine through another outlet.

Another option if the power cord is damaged. This is immediately noticeable: traces of burning, the smell of molten insulation, pinched areas or external cracks clearly indicate that the conductor needs to be replaced. If you have the appropriate knowledge and experience, you can carry out this procedure yourself, otherwise, we will contact the service department.

When everything is in order with the electricity, you should look for the malfunction in other places. But we do everything competently and consistently. We disconnect the machine from the network and evaluate the performance of each element that can trigger a shutdown.

Important! Make sure the washing machine is completely unplugged from the power outlet.

  1. FSP. The noise filter in an idle state can pass the general voltage and prevent the washing machine from starting fully. In this case, when connected to the network, none of the indicator lights up. You can make sure that the part is in good working order by "ringing" at the input and output. The non-communicating FSP will have to be completely replaced.
  2. Start button. The problem key is excluded from the list of possible causes in a manner similar to the FSP. Each conductor suitable for the button is tested (in the pressed position) and, if the result is negative, it is changed to a new one.
  3. UBL. There are two ways to understand that the machine does not start due to a broken hatch locking device. The most correct is to measure the presence of a suitable voltage with a tester, and the absence of numbers on the multimeter display will confirm this version. There is another option: try to close the tank door, and the familiar “click” by 60% guarantees a serviceable UBL.
  4. Internal wires. Damaged internal wires cause all indicators on the dashboard to flash simultaneously. In this case, you can try to find leaks yourself, restore insulation and establish contacts, but it is better to let the specialists completely replace all the wiring.

Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on

If previous checks have not identified the source of the problem, then nine times out of ten, the main control is to blame. For machines with electromechanical control, you will have to deal with a programmer, and with an electronic one - with a module. It will not be possible to independently test such parts, replace the control unit or repair suitable conductors. Therefore, it is recommended to call the service technician. Moreover, there is always the possibility that the breakdown is purely individual and the reason for the shutdown is in a completely unexpected place. And the timely discovery of this fact will save a lot of money.

Attention! If there is a burning smell near the machine, small smoke, sparks or dark spots are visible - in no case should it be connected to the mains!

Zanussi machines, like all modern automatic washing machines, are complex units with high-tech electronic "stuffing". One careless movement and minor repairs will turn into very serious, and most importantly, expensive problems. Therefore, it is recommended to soberly assess your strength and stop at the stage of checking the power supply. And let a specially trained master be engaged in testing the FSP, UBL, control systems and the dashboard.

Repair of washing machines Zanussi (Zanussi) is a frequent occurrence. Despite the fact that these cars come off the assembly line under the sign of a foreign brand, they can also break. And often the manufacturer is not at all involved in the fact that the machine broke down too early.

External factors and improper operation are the most likely reasons for the failure of the SM.

Using the statistics of service centers, you can quickly understand which nodes and parts in the device of the Zanussi washing machine are the most vulnerable

  • The dependence of parts on water quality. By the way, this is typical not only for the Zanussi brand, but also for other machines. Water oversaturated with salts with strong heating is deposited with scale on the heater and other elements.
    The purity of the water in our water supply systems also does not differ, so the filter systems of the machine can become clogged with dirt and rust over time. As a result, the typesetting and drainage system suffers.
  • Hatch lock. This is already the fault of the manufacturers: both the blocker and the sensor are slightly underdeveloped, therefore they break more often than other brands of SMA.
  • The heater (heating element) quickly builds up with scale. Experts believe that this is also due to the fact that manufacturers miscalculated in the selection of components from which the tubular part of the heater is made.
  • Drive belt.It does not differ in reliability, so every 3 months it does not hurt to check its tension and integrity. If you see signs of stretching or damage to the belt, a tightening or replacement of the knot is required.

The only good thing is that it is possible to determine the malfunction on time, since the “smart” automatic washing machine Zanussi notifies the user of problems using the trouble codes.

Usually a Zanussi washing machine gives out the following error codes: E11, E12, E21, E22. Let's consider the most common combinations.

Water does not leave the system - cleaning of the drain filter and checking the nozzles for blockages is required.

It is also necessary to check the performance of the pump impeller - it should rotate freely in both directions. If the stroke is difficult, the pump needs to be replaced.

Complex breakdowns should be entrusted to a professional, but easy repairs to Zanussi washing machines can be easily done by yourself.

Next, we will look at how to repair a Zanussi washing machine with your own hands.

All filtration systems need to be cleaned periodically. If you neglect this rule, then later problems cannot be avoided. If there is a blockage in any of the filters, then there are problems with the intake or drainage of water.

In SM Zanussi, it is the filler filter that is most often clogged. What to do to normalize the work of the typewriter?

  • Just unscrew the inlet filter - it is located on the water pipe.
  • If you have not installed such a filter, then you need to clean the filter mesh.

Attention! Experts advise placing the inlet filter on a pipe with a special filter cassette that softens the water.

To clean the filter mesh, proceed as follows:

  1. Find the junction of the water intake hose with the washer body.
  2. Remove the top cover of the CM to unscrew the valve and filter.
  3. Disassemble the filter and rinse it under the tap.
  4. Replace the filter.
  5. Reassemble everything in reverse order.

Important! The device of the Zanussi horizontal loading washing machine is different from the front design, but the filter is cleaned in the same way.

By the way, pollution can accumulate not only because of the "errors" of the water supply system, but also because of the clothes that you send to the drum. From too dirty things, sand, dirt, debris, threads penetrate into the machine systems.

Craftsmen often find small coins, seeds, hairpins, crumpled checks in the drain filter. All this "nonsense" can provoke a stop in the work of the AGR.

Important! Remember to clean the filter at least every 3 months.

The problem with the UBL is a frequent malfunction of the Zanussi Aquacycle CM, but it also occurs in other models: for example, the Zanussi Easyiron.

It is difficult to tell right away why the blocker breaks down - through the fault of the manufacturer or user negligence. But there may be problems with the control board - then the blocker has nothing to do with it.

The plastic components of the sunroof locking device are unreliable and can break even if you simply slam the hatch shut with force. In this case, the metal hook will survive, but due to the breakdown of the UBL, washing will still be impossible.

The blocker is usually not repaired - it is easier to replace it with a new one. For Zanussi UBL typewriters costs about 1,500 rubles. It's a little expensive, of course, so first you should remove the old blocker to make sure it is 100% broken.

Remove the device according to the following scheme:

  • Open the door.
  • On the right you will see a small hole for the locking hook, and next to it there are two screws that hold the UBL. Unscrew the fasteners.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on
  • Remove the gasket (lip). It is held in place by a wire tie that runs in a circle along the entire elastic. Pick it up with a thin screwdriver and remove. Then remove the cuff - do it by hand, without tools, so as not to damage the delicate elastic band.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on
  • Remove the blocker by disconnecting the wires.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on
  • Carry out a visual inspection of the device and make sure that the plastic part is intact.If the plastic is broken, and the records popped out, take the device with you and go for a new one.
  • Show UBL in the store to sell you exactly the same.
  • Install the bollard in reverse order.

Important! Close the door gently until it clicks, pressing down on the edge to extend the life of the device.

As we said above, the heating element is one of the most vulnerable places of any washing machine, especially Zanussi. The washing machine with such a breakdown may give an error E05, while the water in the tank stops heating.

To make repairs yourself, you will have to disassemble the SM case a little:

  1. Turn the machine with the front wall towards you.
  2. Unscrew the screws from the panel to remove it.
  3. From the bottom of the tank you will see the heater shank - it has 2 contacts and wires coming from them.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on
  4. Measure the resistance with a tester. If the device shows a value close to zero, the heating element will have to be changed. The readings of a working heater will be 20-40 ohms.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine do-it-yourself repair does not turn on
  5. To remove the heating element, unscrew the nut located in the center of the shank.
  6. Disconnect the wiring to the heater.
  7. Make an effort to get the heating element out of the groove. If there is a lot of plaque on it, then it could get stuck. Take WD-40 grease and lightly spray on the crevices. Loosen the old heating element and pull it towards you.
  8. Clean the hole well.
  9. Install a new heater, connect the wiring.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on
  10. Reattach the back panel and run a test wash. If the water heats up, and the E05 code is gone, then you did everything right.

Important! When choosing heating elements for the Zanussi washing machine, buy only original parts. Don't go for cheap Chinese counterparts - they won't last you long. An unsuitable heating element can also provoke a breakdown of the control unit, and then the repair will definitely "fly into a penny."

Damage caused by the drive belt is accompanied by the fact that the motor in the washing machine does not stop working, but the drum does not rotate. To check the integrity and location of the belt, proceed as follows:

  • Remove the back cover by unscrewing the fasteners.
  • In the niche you will see the drum pulley on which the belt should be put on. The motor pulley is much smaller and must also have a belt on it.
    Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on
  • Correct the belt if it has shifted.
  • If the drum does not rotate and the belt is in place, then a replacement is needed.
  • After adjusting or installing a new belt, refit the panel and run a test wash.

As you can see, the repair of Zanussi washing machines consists in eliminating typical failures and breakdowns. Fortunately, these malfunctions are such that you can easily eliminate them without the help of a wizard.

We only advise you not to touch the electronics. Even if you have a Zanussi washing machine circuit, in order to repair or replace an electronic module, you need special tools and relevant knowledge and experience. Do not want to provoke additional breakdowns - trust the master for complex problems.

The situation where the washing machine does not turn on is quite common. This usually happens as follows: you use the washing machine as usual and do not expect a trick from it, after finishing the next wash, turn it off. When you are about to wash again, you fill up the powder, put the laundry in the drum and try to turn on the washing machine. But here's the bad luck - for some reason the washing machine does not turn on.What to do in such a situation and what possible causes of this malfunction we will analyze. I would like to note that the washing machine may not turn on in different ways. Therefore, see what "symptoms" your car has.

If you plugged the washing machine into the network, and it does not show any signs of life, lights and other indicators do not light up on it, then the problems may be as follows:

No matter how trite it may sound, the first and most obvious of the possible reasons for such a malfunction may be that there is no electricity in the outlet. This can happen for the following reasons:
Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on

  • Turned off the electricity - of course this situation can also be. But it is unlikely that you would not have noticed this, because in all the apartment the lights will also go out.
  • Knocked out a machine gun - it is possible that water has entered the outlet or there was another reason for the short circuit. And the machine gun was knocked out. In order to check this, look at the machine that goes to the bathroom, it must be turned on. If this is not so, then cock it, if it is also knocked out, then you need to look for the cause of the short circuit.
  • RCD tripped - if you have a Safety Disconnect Device, then it may have triggered and cut off the power supply. This could happen if there was an electrical leak to the case and the machine gave you an electric shock. Or simply the RCD itself "turned off" (this happens with low-quality Chinese devices). Also, the RCD could work if the wiring was not done well.
  • Faulty outlet - it is possible that the contact in the outlet itself is broken. In order to exclude this breakdown, take any other electrical appliance and plug it into an outlet. If it works, then everything is in order with the outlet. You can also use a multimeter or an ordinary 220V light bulb with wires to check. You can check the presence of a phase using an indicator screwdriver.
  • Extension cord malfunction - if you use a surge protector or extension cord to connect the washing machine, then perhaps the reason that the washing machine does not turn on may be in it. To avoid this, plug the washing machine directly into an outlet.
  • Faulty power cord - the wire that goes from the washing machine and is plugged into the outlet is constantly exposed to various mechanical loads. It constantly bends, which can lead to its breakdown. In order to check the mains wire of the washing machine, it is best to ring it with a multimeter. If the wire is "broken", then it should be replaced. As a last resort, you can find a break in the wire and connect it with twists and electrical tape, which is not recommended.

On some washing machines, power goes directly to the power button after the power cord. Therefore, if it is defective, then it should be replaced. In order to check the button for operability, take a multimeter and turn it on in buzzer mode. Then you need, with a de-energized washing machine, ring the button on and off... In the on state, the multimeter should emit a squeak, which means that the button is conducting current; in the off state, the button should not ring.

The noise filter is designed to extinguish electromagnetic waves from the washing machine, which can cause interference to other, nearby, types of equipment (TV, radio, etc.). If the FPS breaks down, then it does not pass the electric current further on the chain, respectively, the washing machine does not turn on. In order to make sure that it is the noise filter that is defective, remove the top cover and find it.
Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on

In order to check the noise filter in the washing machine, you need to ring it. At the filter input there are 3 wires: phase, zero and ground. The output is two: phase and zero. Accordingly, if there is voltage at the input, but there is no voltage at the output, then the FPS must be replaced.

You can buy a noise filter for a washing machine either separately or complete with a power cord.
Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on

Remove the wires from the FPS and switch the multimeter to vertebra mode. Close one probe to the input phase, the other to the output phase, the filter should ring. Do the same with zero.
Image - Zanussi washing machine DIY repair does not turn on

If the filter is defective, it should be replaced.

If all of the above reasons are excluded, then the next possible failure may be hidden in the control module. Replacing it is an expensive repair and is far from always justified, because the control module can be repaired in some situations. But unfortunately, this cannot be done on your own, without proper knowledge and experience. Therefore, we strongly recommend contacting a specialized washing machine repair service and call a master who will fix the breakdown.

If you plugged the washing machine into an outlet, it shows signs of life, but after selecting a program and turning it on, the washing machine does not start and does not start washing, then the reasons may be as follows:

The first thing to check is is the hatch closed, and whether it is blocked after you have started a wash program. If the door itself closes and latches, but after the wash has begun, it does not lock, then most likely there is a problem with the locking of the washing machine door. In order to verify this, get to check the blocking by ringing it: after starting the program, voltage should be applied to it. If there is voltage at the input, and the blocking does not work, then it must be replaced. We talked about how to check and change the UBL of a washing machine in our articles earlier.

If you plugged the washing machine into an outlet, and it starts blinking in a chaotic manner, or all the lights come on and go out at the same time. Then most likely your wiring is damaged, which leads to such consequences. In order to eliminate this malfunction, you need to either replace the wiring, or find the area that causes the malfunction and replace it.

Malfunctions and minor breakdowns of the Zanussi washing machine can be eliminated by everyone. You just need to carefully read the instructions and study the error codes. Calling a specialist can be very costly. Whereas self-repair of the washing machine at home will help save time and money.

Often, Zanussi washing machines fail due to minor breakdowns, which you can repair yourself.

Basically, consumers give preference to models with horizontal loading of linen. But for the sake of saving space, you can install a top-loading device. The assembly and control parts are the same, so the breakdowns are the same. Conventionally, they can be grouped according to the following criteria:

  • malfunction in electronics;
  • breakdown in the drain or spin system;
  • drum problems;
  • noises at work;
  • problems with opening or closing the hatch;
  • lack of water heating;
  • leaking machine;
  • lack of a set of water.

The washing machine has a specific fault notification function enabled. A signal is given, and a special code is displayed on the display, showing what is wrong with the machine.

If the electronic system fails, then most likely the problem is in a burnt-out semiconductor device or module. The correction of such a breakdown consists in replacing the burned out element with a new one by soldering.

DIY repair is done if there is at least a superficial knowledge of electricity. Otherwise, you can only harm and cause even greater damage.

The malfunction lies in the lack of water drainage or poor-quality spinning. Most of the time, the cause is a clogged filter, pump or hose.

Removing the blockage in the filter is done in a few simple steps.

  1. 1. Open the filter cover and drain off the water.
  2. 2. Pull out the filter itself and clean it of debris, rinse if necessary.
  3. 3. Wipe the installation site and replace the filter.
  1. one.Disconnect the machine from the mains and turn off the water supply.
  2. 2. Open the plinth panel.
  3. 3. Pull out the drain hose and drain off the remaining water.
  4. 4. Unscrew the pump cover and clean it of debris.
  5. 5. Put everything in place.

When cleaning the drain hose, carefully feel it for any foreign matter. If one is found, you should carefully remove it.

In some cases, the problem with draining and spinning is the breakdown of elements associated with these functions: a pump, an electronic module or a command device. Only their replacement will help.

The engine can be heard, but the drum is stationary or wobbles from side to side. The reason is in the drive belt. Inspection of the device will solve the problem. If the belt has fallen off, you must do the following:

  1. 1. Unscrew the back panel of the machine.
  2. 2. Replace the loose belt.
  3. 3. Replace the worn-out element with a new one.

This problem is one of the most common and can be easily fixed.

If the belt is fully operational, make sure that the motor pulley is working properly. If it breaks down, the problem cannot be solved on its own. It is necessary to call a specialist.

The equipment emits uncharacteristic sounds when the engine is running or vibrates during spinning. The malfunction of the Zanussi washing machine in the form of noises is caused by wear on the bearings.

Even without special knowledge, changing bearings will not be difficult:

  1. 1. The machine is completely disassembled, the tank with the drum is pulled out.
  2. 2. The drive belt is removed.
  3. 3. Unscrew and remove all components on the way to the bearings.
  4. 4. The tank is disconnected, the pulley is removed from the drum.
  5. 5.Use a screwdriver to remove the oil seal.
  6. 6. By tapping with a hammer on the drum, the bearing is removed and replaced with a new one.
  7. 7. All parts are installed in their place.

Occasionally, the noise occurs due to the ingress of a foreign object between the drum and the tub. Excessive vibration is caused by insufficient loading of the machine, which leads to uneven weight distribution and a shift in the center of gravity.

The door of the Zanussi washing machine will not open at the end of the wash. The problem is in the blocker. You can fix this yourself by means of an emergency opening:

  1. 1. Remove the bottom panel and find the red cable. It is usually located in the lower right corner.
  2. 2. Pull the cable towards you, as a result the hatch will open.

If the hatch does not open and the cable is missing, this means that the bollard is broken. Then you need to purchase and install a new one. Even after successfully fixing the problem, you should consult a technician to prevent re-seizing.

The hatch does not close due to the breakage of the plastic clips. The procedure for fixing this malfunction is as follows:

  1. 1. Loosen the screws holding the lock.
  2. 2. Remove the clamp and seal from the hatch.
  3. 3. Remove the lock and inspect for damage.
  4. 4. If any part is broken, you must purchase a new one and replace it.

It should be noted that hatch breakage occurs most often as a result of improper operation. A careful attitude will prevent the problem and save the family budget.

The problem lies in the breakdown of the heating element. This is due to a large amount of limescale on the heating device or simply its wear.

The heating element in the Zanussi washing machines is in the back. In order to get to it, you must unscrew the bolts and remove the cover. The device is removed in stages:

  1. 1. The heating element is freed from the wires.
  2. 2. Unscrew the nut between the contacts.
  3. 3. The part is carefully removed.
  4. 4. A special composition cleans the installation site from scale.
  5. 5. A new heating element is being installed.

If the heating element is in good condition, but the water still does not heat up, it is necessary to call a specialist to inspect and identify the cause.

Water comes out from under the machine or a large amount of foam appears. This situation can be caused by several reasons:

  • wear of the gasket in the place of the filling hose;
  • deformation or drying out of the seal in the hatch;
  • damage at the place where the hose is attached to the pump or in the drain pipe;
  • depressurization of the drum.

You can independently solve this problem by replacing old seals with new ones. In case of depressurization of the drum, a call to the master is required.

First you need to find the reason. The point may be the banal lack of water in the tap. If the water was not turned off, then you need to inspect the parts.

  1. 1. Disconnect the inlet hose from the machine and turn on the water. If the problem is in it, water will not flow.
  2. 2. Check the filter in the filler valve. Remove it, inspect and clean if necessary.
  3. 3. Inspect the filler valve. If it breaks down, replace it.

Low water pressure or lack of pressure in the system can also be a problem.

All Zanussi washing machines are supplied with an instruction manual. On one of its pages there is a list of codes and their decoding.

E11 - there is insufficient water supply to the unit;

E13 - there was a water leak;

E21 (E20) - the water is not drained;

E22 - violation of condensate drainage during the drying process;

E23 and E24 - a seven-meter burned out or its track burned out;

E35 - more water enters the machine than it should be;

E41-E45 - a problem with a lock or blocking device.

This malfunction is sometimes puzzling. Another wash finished yesterday evening, but today the washing machine does not turn on, does not respond to any buttons, although there is no apparent reason.

  • after pressing the network button, nothing happens;
  • after switching on, the indicator lights up, but there is no water intake and complete silence;
  • after connecting the machine to the mains, all indicators start blinking at once.
  1. There is no phase in the network or poor contact of the plug with the outlet.
  2. Damage to the power cord.
  3. The noise filter (FPS) is defective.
  4. The power button is faulty or oxidized.
  5. Defective UBL.
  6. Defective programmer (KSMA).
  7. Electronic module defective.
  8. Damage to the wires of the electrical circuit.

Disconnect from the network. Disconnect the washing machine from the power supply.

We check the electrical circuit. If the washing machine does not turn on, it means that the required voltage is not supplied to the element responsible for the control, or it does, but does not pass further. We will show you how to check an electrical circuit to find a malfunction. To check, you need to have a multimeter (in common parlance, a tester), with which you can check the voltage and be able to `` ring '' the wires.

Check the outlet. First of all, you need to check the voltage in the network, namely the outlet to which the washing machine is connected. You can connect a table lamp to this outlet, if it is on, then the outlet is working, if not, then there is no voltage in the outlet, it needs to be repaired.

Then check that the plug is firmly seated in the outlet. When the plug has been in the outlet for years, the socket contacts that fit the plug relax and loosen. As a result, there may be no voltage on the plug. So try moving the plug in an old outlet, or plugging your clipper into a different outlet.

Network wire. Moving on. Checking the power cord. It happens that during the operation of the machine, when it is displaced, moved, the power cord is pinched and may be damaged. Therefore, you need to ring all 3 wires, phase, zero and ground with the tester.

Noise filter. The next element of the circuit is a noise filter (FPS). It is needed so that the television and radio equipment located in the immediate vicinity does not experience the influence of interference from a working washing machine. After many years, the FPS fails and either a short circuit occurs, or it ceases to conduct electric current.

Therefore, we check the FPS. 3 wires fit to it (phase, zero, earth) and 2 (phase and zero) come out. Entry and exit should ring. If this is not the case, then the FPS needs to be replaced.

Power button.After the FPS, the circuit passes either to the network power button (in old models) or to the electronic module (new models). Let's first consider a diagram of old washing machines. Everything is simple here. Two wires (phase and zero) from the noise filter go to the button for turning on the washing machine.

First we call the wires themselves, then the button. In the off position, it should break the circuit, in the on position, close the contacts and pass the electric current. To check, you need to turn on the power button and ring it with a tester at the input and output (recall that the washing machine is disconnected from electricity). If the button does not pass current, then you need to replace it.

Command device or electronic module. Following the wires, we move on. Depending on the model of the washing machine, either after the power button or after the FPS, an electric current enters the control element. It can be an electronic module or a command device (KSMA). It is difficult to test them yourself, without skills in electronics.

Therefore, if the check showed that all the presenting elements of the circuit (cord, FPS, button, etc.) are working and there is voltage at the input of the electronic module or KSMA, and when the power button is turned on, not a single indicator of the machine is on, then most likely , or KSMA is faulty, or the module, or the control board.

In this case, if there is a desire to move on and change these expensive parts yourself, you need to make sure as accurately as possible of their malfunction. Additionally, check the wiring diagram and the sunroof locking device.

Wires of the electrical circuit. Wires can be damaged while using the washing machine. Sometimes, when the fasteners are loosened, the wires rub against the body of the machine and can be frayed or torn. To check all wires for a break, it is enough to carefully, visually inspect the very bundle of wires and connections.

Lock the hatch door. In case of failure of the door lock, the power indicator will be on, but the machine will not start working. Therefore, you need to find out if voltage is applied to the UBL when you turn on the washing machine.

If it is supplied and it does not work, then the blocking must be replaced, if the voltage is not supplied, then, most likely, the reason is in the module or the controller.
